Too far away!

Can't tell me everyone hasn't felt this at some point. Ya click on a profile, you're getting a sense of someone's vibe, wondering and hoping they're legit, feel like you might click, but the distance apart shoots ya down. But let's get some good feels going! What's a nice thought you had about another member here? And keep an eye on this thread. You might discover some secret admires stopped by. 😉

  • Especially when they're from like Cali, Ontario, and you're from like Tdot, Ontario. Though you see the Ontario part first. 🙄

Oh yeah, you said throw some good feels in there... what's that? Some alien from a distant galaxy? 😅

Well... now that I think about it more, I seem to have made a nice new acquaintance. So I got that going for me, over to you @Shake49 .

  • Several times … & for different reasons ,,, maybe they’re too far / maybe they didn’t respond / maybe I look at their profile or they look at mines & an amazing awesome conversation transpires & than all of a sudden I see that their profile is pending pro & I’m like (ok I get it nothing special about me lol, so I politely find an exit) or sometimes I sense their amazing vibes through the threads but I’m too shy too reach out so I don’t …. A lot of awesome profiles here though : )

I live in Southern California and someone from Colorado booked an overnight. I had to decline because I couldn’t take a day off my actual job for that time :(

  • Yes! There are a few I’ve come across on here that it made me sad we were so far away. There are so many amazing people in this community and we are blessed to have this as a way to connect. 🤗

  • @Lovelight I've been acquainted with some sweet souls as well. There's one lovely human in particular I'm thinking of, that if distance weren't an issue, I thought to myself I'd have loved to sit and binge some marvel shows with 😊

  • Everyone I want to be squishy with is too far... It's a blessing there are some really wonderful beings here, but it's also a significant bummer that seeing them requires disposable income I don't have...

  • Wow, I fit right into this thread haha 😂

As I imagine is the case in many other places, South TX isn't exactly home to many active cuddlers. Pretty much every active user I find is at least 3 hours from my location if not waaay further lol. At this point, I don't worry about distance because I'm probably not going to get to meet with anyone on this site so long as I continue to live in this distant/isolated corner of the country, and that's okay.

What I look for instead are people who don't mind the highly decreased possibility of a physical interaction, and are open and willing to connect with me through friendly conversation.

Many of us can't get all of our needs met, but that doesn't mean we can't make meaningful connections anyway. Hang in there, pals! 🌻

  • @BoyoftheFlowers Having lived in McAllen many, many moons ago I remember there being a university in Edinburg where you live. It was called Pan American University. I think it is UT-Rio Grande now? Anyway, maybe place an ad in the school newspaper there as many of those students are your age and some of them are probably homesick and lonely. Just an idea that popped into my cranium.

On another note, I am so jealous of you being able to buy the Texas ruby reds straight from the orchard and road side stands. Yum.

  • @Shake49 what is the longest distance you are willing to travel? What is the longest distance you have traveled?

  • @Shake49 I am glad to hear. :)

  • There are definitely some members that I would love to meet that are too far. You do what you can though. I was able to meet a couple of members last year when I was working in NorCal. I was able to meet a member recently that was in town. I will be meeting another member out of state when I’m on vacation in November. These meetings are amazing and I’m grateful for the opportunities.

  • Travel when you can. Aside from one cuddler/enthusiast (Hi, @sillysassy !) whom I met when she was vacationing in the Bay area, everyone else I've met out of state during work or leisure travels.

There are deliberate considerations, granted. Unless work is paying for lodging/travel, this is one issue, because it can be very expensive. Another is planning and mutual agreement. The other is timing: just because you're available and willing doesn't mean they are.

Knock on wood, but I've been one lucky hombre meeting some of you lovely CC folks.

  • @FunCartel You know, I actually attend that university! lol what are the odds?

It's called UTRGV now, and you know, flyers might actually be a great idea! I'll definately look into that. I'm sure more people would be on here if they knew it existed. I feel like a lot of us here on cc (not all, of course) found this site either on accident or by direct search. It would be nice if more people knew they had this option. 😊

Even within state. Sometimes it might be worth the trip.

  • I've seen a few people that would be perfect for me (and I believe I would be for them) ,but ... (1) They live far away, (2) I'm outside their age range, (3) They cuddle only other women
