Word for the day . . .

Forgiveness.

Each week I will try to put a word out. Hopefully it resonates and helps.

Today I got busy with several impromptu work calls and meetings. I missed a call with someone on here. I feel awful, and I am reminded of just how even the best intentions can go South. Yes I am human, but how do you hold yourself accountable-- while forgiving? How do you forgive yourself? What are some things you are holding onto this week? Share. . .

This is so relevant for me personally this month. The theme of forgiveness is very prominent on my horizon right now. Moving towards it feels difficult, at times, until I get there, and realize that it's actually a relief. Thank you for sharing this. 🖤

  • @Mela_B thank you for replying and sharing your feelings too. I am here if you need a friend. We are oftentimes our worst critics

  • We tend to look at or focus on our shortcomings or when things don’t go right. In those moments I try to remind myself of all the times when things went right. Helps to put it into perspective being human.
Many a times, sometimes after a long period, you may even find that what you thought was something going wrong ended up being a good thing. Doing what you can the best you can.

  • @blisscuddles you always know what to say. And when to say it. Thanks for those words. Is that how you manage to forgive yourself?

There's 1 member her I have been timeout twice because she flagged me, because English not my first language sometimes I used word grab in sharing experience then others misunderstood it wrong ,which I thought is hold then everything messed up. I forgive her and can't blame her, hope she forgives me I know she is a nice person only misunderstanding. Also i uesd to think gang bang means team up and beat but it's something else.what is my sin? I have been down from been timeout, that's why I complained, it's not even her fault, its my English. She has the right to be offended.

  • Thank you, @hicuddler. 🖤

  • @hicuddler. Thank you. That’s how I try to and has helped. Doesn’t work every time at that instant but eventually it helps.

thanks to the awesome nugget I babysit I learned the answer is always…

    CHICKEN

  • Sometimes you have to forgive yourself for being a human just like everyone else. Or it's in reverse and you're having to forgive others for their humanness. Or it gets flipped completely the other way round where you have to remind others to forgive themselves...

How lucky we all are to be presented with near limitless opportunities to practice forgiveness (in my world anyway).

  • Great stuff everyone.

@Ahmedali999 sorry you have hit some bumps along the way in the usage of the English language, but it appears that you are doing the best you can, yet learning along the way. If we picked just one of those in a moment, we are truly living.

    @sage_wisdom @- silly chicken nugget

@quixotic_life great points. I could not agree more. With so many opportunities to love and forgive, we probably shouldnt have much time for anything else -- especially their opposites: hate and grudge.

Thank you all and I am always here if you need a reminder of why you are worthy of forgiveness.

  • @hicuddler thanks my friend I always screwed up because of that I'm here to cuddle, share my thoughts and experience I also learn and get helped from others. Forgiveness is beautiful.

  • @hicuddler - I have a difficult time forgiving myself for things, TBH. So I fully understand. 🤗 I am sorry that happened.
