No you love your job. If you love your job you will do long hours + you don't count the time.
I used to work 12 hour night shifts in a chocolate factory. Some shifts I would be supervisor, while other shifts I would just be a line worker. If I was supervisor, I loved it. Time flew by! Couldn’t wait to get to work! But if I was just working on the line, every second was pain… 12 hours is too long in a job that sucked 😂😂
Anyone that counts down every second definitely is not a fan of working there 😅😅
If you are glancing at the clock you probably aren’t in love with your job… unless you are a professional athlete, of course.

As a by the way, my “jobs” really aren’t. At least not in the traditional 8 to 6, 5 days a week thing…
I’m an artist, musician, and developer so I work when projects or gigs require it.
I work crazily when I am on a roll, and rest like a hibernating bear when it slows down.
The up and down, not mention near constant rejection and occasional wild exaltation, of this sort of work is not for everyone.
But I HATE corporate gigs, so it beats actually working.
@CharlesThePoet i get that 100% , I’m glad you’re able to enjoy your independence & work on your terms, & yes the risk of being a business owner & self proprietor are those things at times , but I feel it beats corporate & 9-5 anytime.

Im owner of a software company. My 9 to 5 work days are long gone. I now work when i want and how much I want, mostly supervising my teams and projects that are spread over various geographical locations. So yes, i like my job and im enjoying life 😊
Most of the time. I've had the same career path for over 27 years now.
Different aspects of the industry over the years. But I have found something that suits my introverted personality, ability to work solo and my tendency to be a hardcore night owl.
And the fact that it pays the bills, offers decent benefits and acceptable work-life balance is a huge plus.
I adore my job(s). I do this, cuddling, of course. But I am also an author and poet, an editor, and an artist. I rehab and sell furniture and jewelry. I'm always doing something new, creative, and different. I set my own schedule and I really enjoy what I do.

I’m in management at a major utility company. Don’t really want to say what company. Another manager and myself run a shop of 36 employees that service the Los Angeles area. I love my job, I love people, love being able to work with the public as well as positively affect the lives of my employees.

I’m a Healthcare Recruiter and I love it. I get to call freshly graduated nurses and offer them their first professional job after getting licensed! I feel their excitement and it’s contagious!

I think it's very important to at least like your job, maybe not love it !!. I have walked off/out of a few very good paying jobs in my life. To me, not so much the money, it's what you are doing and if you like it, feel good about what you are doing. As a motorhead all my life, I have driven trucks, run heavy machinery, worked as a marine mechanic working on boats. I ended up owning my own boat dealership, which I liked. After 26 yrs. I sold the dealership and started to play with my other love,, old cars/trucks, at one time I had 12 cars/trucks at my home. I started transporting boats part time with my OLDEST truck I own, a 1953 Ford with late model running gear under it. I enjoy driving it and the best part is I get paid to drive it. I've been to 35 states, over 380K miles so far. I like to meet up for cuddles in different states as I travel around the country. And as a business owner, I have hired & fired many many people, I know for a fact, if a person really likes/loves the job they are doing, they will excel in it, if they hate that job, it will not go good for them. So my office is the cab of my truck that I still enjoy driving it. PS, life is to short, try to enjoy each day !!!!!!!
I love my other job. it makes my life worth living. I am happy to wake up on the mornings I work that job.
