Support for a cuddler during a difficult time

A cuddler and enthusiast who has been part of this community for a long time named @MattsWeather reached out to me asking me to make a post in the forum to let everyone know what's going on and seek emotional support I believe.

His mother is in the hospital and is being moved into hospice care today and he thinks that she will be gone a lot faster than they were prepared for. I don't think there's anything we can do as a community to make this easier, but I think he would appreciate all the support you can give him at this time.

    @MattsWeather just saw that I had you as my favorite on here. Wish you were near so that we may have connected and met as the company could've been beneficial for you. You seem like a cool guy and I hope you're taking good care of yourself in this difficult time. I also hope you will have at least a glimmer of hope that things may not turn out as badly as they seem. If or when you need * someone to talk with, you can feel free to reach out to me.

    @MattsWeather ~ What a dear friend you have in @MxSmith to post on your behalf. Other than I've been there and I know that uncertainty, fear and sadness you're feeling are immeasurable and at times will be unbridled, I don't know what else to say. But I wish you the strength to see her through. To just be there for her, and for yourself.

    Some advice if wanted...

    If able to share stories, do. If able to cry with her, do. If able to laugh and savor these last good bits you're being blessed with, do.

    The togetherness and squeezing the last few bits you can from this time is what's important. And is what will help you through the really hard parts you'll face down the road.

    @MattsWeather I don’t know you, but I want to say I’m really sorry to hear the news about your Mother, I do know that facing loosing a parent or even the possibility of it, is a really difficult and painful experience, I lost my Dad almost 2 years ago. I’m praying for you, your Mother and all the family. May God give you all the strength you need to get through this.

    Thank you all so much for your support!! It means more to me than you could ever know. I just wanted to reach out and let you all know that my mother passed away this morning just before 2 AM. She has been in hospice care since the beginning of the month after over 2 years of dealing with reoccurrences of adrenal cortical carcinoma that finally spread to her liver and shut it down. All thoughts and prayers for my family at this time are deeply appreciated.
    @MxSmith I really appreciate you posting that at a time when I couldn't bring myself to reach out to many people.

    @MattsWeather I am sorry for you and your family's loss. I hope there is comfort in knowing she is no longer in any physical pain. Hospice helped when my grandfather's time came and I'm very grateful they were able to be there for your family as well. No one and no family should go through that alone. Clearly the cuddle community is here to support you as well so reach out if you need anything. Sending love and prayers. 💙

    Thank you again everyone, wake is tomorrow night (10/26/2021) and burial is the following day (10/27/2021). Any thoughts, prayers and energy you could send to my family during these next few days is appreciated more than you know!
