Sweet Random Moments

I wanted to share a sweet random moment that happened today,

We were in the drive through at Starbucks this morning and the person in front of us was being challenging. When it was our turn to order, the girl says, good morning, welcome to Starbucks. I replied, good morning, are you doing okay? She says, no, I’ve been better. My Wife says to her, I understand, I deal with customers at work and thanks for being honest with your emotions. I then order and in the process of ordering, started saying dumb funny stuff like I always do. When we get up to the window, there’s a guy manning the window and my Wife says to me, aww, I wanted to see the girl we were talking to. When we actually get up to the window, the girl walks up, hands me a gift card and says, thank you for making me smile. Moral of the story, don’t be a jerk and also be understanding, sometimes people are having a tough time and maybe a moment of kindness from you can change someone’s day.

    I had to take Fred to the vet today for his mani-pedi (nail trim). On our way to get cheeseburgers afterward we came upon an older man whose car was dead beside the road. Pulled over, jumpstarted his car, followed him to the parts store to get a new battery (he really needed one). Before we left he saw Fred sleeping in the back seat and asked if he could pet him. Of course I said yes. Thirty minutes later we were finally on our way to get cheeseburgers, and three old guys were happy.
