For all the regulars on the CC forums (everyone knows who -we- are lol) & all the lurkers on the threads (nobody knows who -you- are lol) what is it that gravitates you to the forums/ threads 🧵📚
Probation
For me, it's the fact that I get to meet people I wouldn't otherwise meet. I find cuddling to be just part of a broader desire for human connection, and conversations that start here often continue one-on-one.
Finding like minded people who understand just how important touch and affection is. Connecting with people from all over the world!
@FunCartel 🤣😂
@JoyfulHeart 💯
@YourEmbraceMel sooo true 🌌
I like getting a peek into the perspectives of others that like to cuddle. A profile can only say so much but how a topic or question is responded to paints a different picture.
@Nikoli i really like your response @ ,” perspectives of others” - “ how a topic or question is responded”
Yes the forum / threads is a complete escape, but I also love to connect with people through personality , many on here have never had a pic up, some have something that represents them, so this gives us a chance to find common ground or decide if we gravitate towards someone or not simply based on their personality (not knowing how they look like, where are they from ect) to me that’s really cool.
Perspectives, really. I know how I see the world and I know perception isn't linear. Personally, I learn more from interaction than books which is why I play devil's advocate a lot; to see all sides.
It's nice to get to connect with people I otherwise wouldn't cross paths with and the human connection aspect in general is comforting. I also enjoy hearing perspectives from various people with different backgrounds/thoughts/ideas which helps remind me that my thoughts are only my opinion and it's a good exercise to regularly challenge my own assumptions. Discussing topics with others can keep you grounded and also lead to many opportunities for learning and growth.
I like getting to know people through online discussions. I’ve gotten to meet one cuddler because of online discussions and hope that some day I’ll get to meet others. I feel so much more at ease cuddling with someone I’ve gotten to know through the forums.

@calmcontact
Well said. Usually anything public on the internet like social media isn't really communication these days but defined as is. Sometimes we find those public spots where we can be vulnerable enoough and accept being disagreed with is okay and a lot can be learned from that type of discourse. This site is one of them even though some topics have been closed.
I view these forums as, "I'm you, you're me, let's share some shit and see what's up." In my eyes, the art of conversation is lost because with ocial media, people have learned to talk in bullet points without really expressing anything and get defensive when a person disagrees. Not so much here. It's like we're adults or something.
I'm a social creature. Plus I like to get a sense of who everyone is. 😊
Pervasive loneliness. And sometimes procrastination whilst doing schoolwork. I’ve deactivated all my social media except this, so this is where it’s at now.
Openness
@Mela_B Yusss!
@TheMidnightOwl every other social media is “glitz & glamour” too much fake not enough real, & There is this nostalgic feel with the old school vibe of the forum / threads & it is soo genuine & the people.
@Morpheus 💯!
@cuddles_ndream agreed.
Ty
@TheMidnightOwl I hear you. I spend more time here than anywhere else now. People here seem more real.
^!
@TheMidnightOwl and @Mela_B I'm the same way now too.
@Letsholdeachoth It's interesting that you suggested you feel open discussion is prevented when conversations perceived as derogatory of pros are censored. I would assume conversations that are derogatory of any person or any group would be censored as going against community guidelines.
There's a lot of people here with different experiences and opinions. We're all adults so I think conversations that include critiques of the concept of pros should be just fine and totally possible without derogatory language. I'd be concerned to hear if those types of conversations were censored.
I read a lot of the forums here, but rarely contribute. Confirmed lurker. The appeal for me (aside from the general entertainment) is reading comments from people that can put thought and feeling into word (or text in this case) in ways that I have been unable to articulate. it is immensely helpful to me in understanding both how I feel and my ability to then communicate that.
For starters, I 100% agree with @calmcontact ... As an "elder millennial", I absolutely love forums and online chatting platforms because it gives you the opportunity to interact with folks that you may never meet otherwise.
I also enjoy the less stressful environment of online chatting where you can easily (though awkwardly) stop talking whenever you don't feel safe/comfortable/respected. In-person first-time meetups can be very challenging when you feel you have to put on a face. Online discussions, at least for me, are a lot easier to just be my authentic self.
Unfortunately, I also experience times where my counterpart is not being their authentic self (or are they? ) so there is still a need for mutual trust and respect.
Nevertheless, since I love learning about new people and new things, I think forums are the perfect place to "put your name out there" and see what others are like, just like @Saysoh mentioned.
I love communicating with emotionally intelligent people.
I’ve been here and have participated in the forums since 2015, the forums are really good right now. The current moderators are doing an outstanding job. I’ve seen the forums on here be an all out war in the past. I’m really enjoying things right now.
@rompo, for some reason I feel that I’m way more comfortable sharing my thoughts & feelings through text / written words than vocalizing them (maybe cause I don’t open up as often in real life or avoid being to confrontational with my feelings In person so I guess In writing ✍️ it is much easier
@ernesto_2 you're absolutely right & yes @calmcontact killed it that was a wonderful explanation!
@Morpheus 💯!!! I definitely see more respect & consideration for one another … & more agreeing to disagree or Atleast having differences but being able to co-exist.
@calmcontact ~ "... I think conversations that include critiques of the concept of pros should be just fine and totally possible without derogatory language. I'd be concerned to hear if those types of conversations were censored."
Sadly, they are. And it's such a bummer because it typically takes just one yay-who's bs to close the whole thing down, instead of an edit or a warning given (which would allow for the exchanges to continue).
I like people opinions,ideas + share my thoughts i would love lf there's a debate unfortunately not
Discussions derogatory of pro cuddlers or questioning their validity are not allowed. They are a part of our community and questioning their right to exist or to be here is not open for discussion. You have freedom of conscience to have your own opinion but discussions in these forums must respect the existence of all the members of our community. - Babichev
In addition to enjoying the gamut of discourse to creative expression, another thing I enjoy about these forums over other social media platforms is the lack of ads.
Part 1) I REALLY like when the supposed "alpha" males make an appearance and put down guys that treat women as equals, put down guys that don't expect sex, put down guys who are kind, and put down these "simps" and "beta" guys for the fact they ARE stronger BECAUSE they are vulnerable. Rawr to you, "alpha" males: let me know when you achieve sentience beyond your penises. [This is withering sarcasm, if there was any doubt whatsoever - I'd tag the recent offenders, but the poor sods showed themselves the door.]
Part 2) I like when people are soft, are kind, when they show that they don't have to beat each other here with their opinion and "their way or the highway" stances. I like when posts and comments weave care and kindness and mutual support into the fabric of the community. I like that most folks on here play nice - most. I realize we all have our proverbial days, so I keep hope in one hand and salted experience in the other.
Part 3) As a moderator, I also like forum timeouts, because I don't know about you, but forum flags sure slow down when instigators get their forum mouths duct-taped shut. Dude (because face it, most offenders are male): lay off the personal attacks, follow the Forum rules, and watch it with the F bombs.
