@cuddles_ndream ~ Awww! 😊
There are a couple I would like to cuddle with. Even spoke to two of them. Just logistics and nerves stopping me.
I know who's from Oregon but not saying and you can't make me talk!
I have desires to cuddle with someone on the U.S. east coast, west coast, my own state, and a few other states.
@quixotic_life 🫂
I always feel driven to want to cuddle with anyone who either doesn't live near any professionals or who seem to have trouble getting pros to respond / be available / follow through / or just be professional to them. I wish our country were smaller. 😝 But at least now I can offer accommodations so people from further can possibly have an option. 💜
I wish I could venture past my local 200 miles, 😊 I have a long list of people from the forums and people ive chatted with that I would love to cuddle with, slowly by slowly our paths will cross and we will meet and cuddle, I welcome the opportunities and relish in the thought.
I’ve cuddled with all the unicorns in my area except for one. Scheduling is always funky and maybe they don’t want to cuddle with me. It is what it is.
At first, I just looked at profiles. I then started to read the forums. I now find myself in a "I want to cuddle SO many people!" situation. With each new person comes new conversations about different experiences, topics, interests --and with different personalities, with the bonus of cuddling! I'm still quite new here, but I'm finding it harder and harder to remain an introverted person. 😝 I agree with @Mela_B and @Shake49... I wish I could teleport. I've read quite a few posts and responses that made me think, "I wanna cuddle with them!" but then find out they are quite a distance away... Is a 'cuddle crush' a thing? LOL
@jaswbrown ~ A "cuddle crush" is totally a thing, and is called a "squish"!! At least that's how I understand the following...
"A squish is a platonic crush, a desire for a strong platonic relationship, a queerplatonic relationship or a non-romantic emotional relationship with a person. Squishes are the platonic or emotional, basically non-romantic equivalent to the romantic crushes. A squish is a platonic attraction or an emotional attraction." https://aromantic.wikia.org › wiki
I don’t know, @quixotic_life … I don’t think squish is happening (“Stop trying to make fetch happen. Fetch is not happening” — Mean Girls). I prefer @jaswbrown ’s inclination, cuddle crush. Reminds me of man crush, which has happened in a mainstream way. Yes, I do see that the Urban Dictionary definition of squish dates back to 2010, but I haven’t heard it in all these years, and to me it is too reminiscent of the traditional meanings of the word, like the disgusting sound a big bug makes when you squash it ((shudders)). “Cuddle crush,” in contrast, sounds like no other word, and being two words, the first one acts as an adjective to modify the second one, so it leads you to consider that it is not just a traditional crush, but a special kind of crush. A man crush is already understood to mean a platonic crush a man has on another man, so there’s a ready-made platonic connotation. I vote for cuddle crush. 😉👍
(BTW, I think the link you wanted to share is https://aromantic.wikia.org/wiki/Squish)
@quixotic_life I vote for squish. No matter how many modifiers you put in front of crush the romantic connotations will remain in some people’s minds. Squish is as squish does. 😁
@Chris04 one of the pros I wanna cuddle is also in Oregon. From there and travels anyway! That’s it! I’m organizing a cuddle puddle road trip! We are going on tour! 🤣😝😊 whose in?!
@Nature_Lover_ Count me in!!!
All of the squish talk just made me think of “squishy” from Finding Nemo….
@Nature_Lover_ Count me in!
I use squish to mean a strong desire to be someone's friend, a deep and true friend. I have experienced it before. An instant drawing connection to someone, platonically. For me that's different than the drawing I have experienced towards someone virtually, to meet sometime and cuddle. But everyone's experience may be different. I definitely have squish in my existing vocabulary though. 😇
@JoyfulHeart and @calmcontact YAYYYYY
What does it say about someone who lives in a perpetual state of squishing, then?
I'm always a fan of rarer, deeper friendships over a larger volume of associates.
I'd be okay with the word 'squish' if it weren't so --I can't describe it. I know people who have an aversion to using the word 'moist', and not to imply anything, I'd associate the word 'squish' to 'moist'. 🤣
I DO like 'cuddle crush', though... The 'crush' aspect reminds me of being in school, real young, and having those moments when you're with your crush and your heart's a-flutter, and you're so happy that your smile hurts... My 'cuddle crushes' kinda take me back to that kind of energy. Sure, it could be my social anxiety causing my heart to pound through my chest 🤣, but that smile is there when I see I have a message from them, or I see a post/response from them in the forums. 😊
@Nature_Lover_ Count me IN for the cuddle puddle road trip. We'll be like a band on tour, taking our tour bus city to city for a cuddle party every night (and in the bus while we're moving down the highway).
@Protector awesome because you are definitely on my ‘would love to cuddle,’ list !
@Nature_Lover_ cuddle puddle road trip, tour! Sounds Awesome.
@Nature_Lover_ Same for sure!
OMG, a touring 'cuddle puddle', site-seeing all over the country sounds like the most amazing vacation ever! 🤩🤩🤩
@jaswbrown @Chris04 i love this energy! Let’s get to planning ! First stop, Oregon? 🤣😊🤷♀️
I have a beautiful place in the country of central Virginia. Will have two Airbnb rooms plus a sunroom and an additional fold-out king bed in the front office. I would be open to possibly hosting a group cuddle event here for the cost of the overnight accommodations. 🌳🏠🌳 If people are interested in coming to the woods on the east coast. 😇
@ubergigglefritz (Incidentally, yours is one of my favorite usernames on this site.)
I'm in southeastern Pennsylvania. I think your spot would be just a few hours from me.
@JoyfulHeart including MD traffic? 😆 I'm looking forward to meeting new people after being out of commission for so long! ☺️
@ubergigglefritz The vagueness of the word "few" might help me to stand by my statement, unless DC stands directly between us, in which case the word "few" means "many and painful".
@ubergigglefritz i would absolutely be interested! 😊😊😊
@Nature_Lover_ Oregon, it is! 🤣🤣
