I hate thunderstorms ⛈️ how about you

Comments

  • Love them but I’ve lived in So Cal my whole life and we rarely have thunder storms

  • Love them as long as I don’t have to drive in then and there isn’t a threat of sever weather.

As long as I’m safely inside/not driving I love them.

  • 🌩Perfect cuddle weather 🥰

  • I love sunny weather best, but the occasional thunderstorm is a welcome change.

  • I love rain ☔️ thunderstorms ⛈ … something so comforting about it, perfect if I had a porch to sit with a beer lol / music & just enjoy it.

And just like that I got this notification 😂 wish I was home to enjoy it ☺️

  • Love em!! Bring it on!!

Unless they're too close and scare the animals. Then pass...

I used to love thunderstorms as a kid. But it took me several years after a deployment to get back to being able to handle them. It got to a point where being outside during fireworks or thunderstorms was the only way I could handle them, because being inside I felt immediate panic and terror.

I love cuddling with thunderstorms, but if I'm in a room by myself when they happen i still feel a deep unease.

  • Like most folks here, I absolutely love them.

  • @Mela_B Did you get the storm that I got? An hour or two ago? We had just one thunderclap that sounded like someone hit the ground with a 150-foot frying pan.

  • There's usually not a night that goes by without me turning on thunderstorm sounds. It always releaxes me to sleep.

  • I don’t care for them, I live in Texas, around here, they bring a lot of destruction with tornadoes, damaging winds, lightning, hail, and flooding.

  • I love a good thunderstorm as long as I’m safe, warm, and dry.

We had a bit of thunder last night. Unlike most dogs, my rabbit does not seem distressed by the thunder.

  • @JoyfulHeart yes, it started pouring and thundering around 7:45. It's still sprinkling. I have the windows open 🙂

  • @JoyfulHeart that's a big frying pan 😟

  • @JoyfulHeart Sadly, the mention of a 150-foot frying pan conjured an image of having to clean it, and reminded me I've got some dishes to do before bed. 🍳🤣

  • @craM 😈 absolutely right especially if you cuddle body feel scared 😬

  • One of our little dogs is deathly afraid of them, but I love them as long as I’m not outside where I could be struck by lightning. I’m with @cram ! (Well, I’m not “with” him, but cuddling indoors during a thunderstorm I’d be happy to be.)

  • Bristol had such a good one last night. Not so much thunder, but the wind was crazy. The house was moving. :#

  • Always loved 'em.

When I was a kid we used to get good thunderstorms on holiday. The pattern was for them to occur very late evening, after my bedtime. At the end of a suitable day I would look at the sky hopefully through the bedroom window before getting into bed.

If I was lucky, I would be awoken by a crack of thunder or lightening. Shortly afterwards my parents would appear and we were allowed to get up to watch the storm. I particularly remember one perfect strike of forked lightening framed by the open back door - the kind of thing that would have won a minor photography prize at the time.

  • When you hear thunder, that's just God getting a strike at bowling.
