Number of Replies Minimal

I am a male cuddler and recently I had started a conversation in regards to cuddling at a hot tub spa which eventually turned into a conversation about minimal positive replies from female cuddlers to cuddle requests. Several members mentioned a theory that I was not getting many replies since I was asking for cuddle sessions right away even though all my requests had been very cordial and respectful. i was advised instead to ask the lady and let her decide how she would want to plan for a possible cuddle session (i.e. phone conversation, meet for coffee, etc. before any possible cuddle time). This would let her become more comfortable and therefore a better chance for a positive reply to a cuddle session. I decided to use that approach and sent 22 cuddle request to ladies a few days ago. My requests were very polite and respectful and advised the lady that she would be the one to plan a possible cuddle in order for her to be comfortable for a possible cuddle. Of the 22 requests I only received one reply, yes only one! The lady was very nice and there is a good possibility we will have a cuddle. There goes that "let the lady decide how to plan for a cuddle" theory. I did not receive a reply from the other 21 cuddlers at all, not even a "thanks but no thanks" reply which would show some courtesy and respect. I would welcome any comments of other cuddlers out there who can mention their experience of replies. Do other cuddlers out there also get minimal replies for cuddle requests like I have? What puzzles me is if someone showed interest in a possible cuddle with me I would at the very least show some respect and reply thanking them-a "thanks but no thanks" reply. Anyways, any comments are welcomed.

Why don't you post your actual message? Also, it's possible your forum postings are working against you

  • Don't just say 'hi'. Put some thought into it. Make it clear you read their profile.

@Ed60 I popped over to your profile and notice you don't have any type of photo up. Regardless of the fact that this is allowed, this alone could be the reason you are not receiving replies.

I am a professional cuddler and though I will message someone who has no photo posted, I will not set up a session with them unless they email or text me a candid photo of themselves. This is so I know whom I am expecting at my door/to answer the door.

Perhaps you could mention your willingness to exchange photos prior to a cuddle session in your profile?

  • @Ed60 are you referring to paid or non paid cuddlers? Honestly nobody is under obligation to respond to or contact you if you don't wish, however I think there may be something in regards to paid cuddlers on this site when it comes to contact and responses. Maybe one of the paid cuddlers reading this can clarify.

  • As a Pro I generally try to respond to all messages within a few hours if possible. The biggest thing I see from the original post is that instead of just starting a friendly conversation he's still just getting down "business" right away. Which while that may be okay for us Pros, if he's contacting non-pros they probably wouldn't like that.

My advice for everyone contacting anyone on an online site is to start a conversation. Yes the end goal is a cuddle but it's not much more effort to be friendly about it. I get a ton of messages that are just "Hi". That's not a conversation starter since the response back is also just "Hi". Starting the conversation is on the shoulders of the person who initiated the contact. (this obviously applies more for contacting non-pros)

Something like "Hi, I saw that in your profile you like some movie I like too! What did you think about such and such plot point?" is a much better way to bring about an actual dialog. Always ending with a question gives an easier opening to the respondent to actually have something to say. This isn't twitter so messages can be longer than a few words. :)

With non-pros after having a few friendly conversational messages back and forth then say something like: "Hey it seems like we have a lot in common, I'd love to meet you for a coffee or something to chat more then maybe set up a cuddle session."

I'm sure for non-pros it is more important that you really get along and feel comfortable with that person who approaches you for cuddling. Pros, because we have more experience, safeguards, and control are generally able to feel more comfortable with a wider variety of people than non-pros will.

Also, read their profiles! It's pretty obvious when someone hasn't read my profile. Especially since I have pretty clear information listed on there and then they message me questions that have already been answered by my profile.

All of this takes a bit more thought and a few more minutes, but I bet you'll save time by having a higher response rate at the end of the day. And maybe you'll make a good cuddle buddy who enjoys conversing with you as well.
