Say you have 3-5 days for a solo trip anywhere in the world, in November. Where would you go? Money is no object, but the relatively short window means you don’t want travel time to consume too much of the trip.
I'm a gastronaut (I travel with my stomach) so I'd probably pick Barcelona. (a) I've already been (twice) so I am not totally in the dark about what's available there in terms of lodging, food, and events; and (b) there's so much cultural diversity that you will always be able to meet new people, do new things, and try new foods. So to me it's the perfect blend of adventure and travel security.
easy....Cromwell in Vegas, 1st blackjack table off of elevator, 3rd base.
Alaska - it really is so beautiful there. Cannot recommend it enough to people. It’s the best place I ever lived. Enjoy your trip!!
May or may not have stolen this idea from someone who may or may not have created this threat but …. Yellowstone national park ?!
1st choice: Barcelona!
Then New Zealand and either Nova Scotia or Alaska.
In 3 to 5 days I can drive 3 hours north of where I live, and have a nice little trip to the mountains, or drive 4 hours south of where I live and have a nice little trip to the Gulf Coast.
@quixotic_life New Zealand would be epic ! ❤️
@Nature_Lover_ I spent 5 days in Wellington in 2018, it was beautiful. The Lord of the Rings trilogy was shot on the South Island of New Zealand.
I'd do New Zealand for sure. Partially because it's bonkers gorgeous, partially because of Lord of the Rings 🤷♂️😂
Dubai - world party central
@OliviaCuddles Alaska is a great idea! I haven’t been yet.
@Nature_Lover_ Thief.
@quixotic_life Spain is definitely on my list! And NZ, but when I have more time to really do it justice. For the beauty and for LoTR like @Jackson237.
Head on down to Galveston, and hop on a cruise ship to Mexico/Caribbean.
Colorado!!! There seems to be a special "something" about the folks who live there!!! That, and the fact that they've decriminalized a few things... heehee!
Thailand for their beaches. The best in the world:
@JohnR1972 thats incredible!! @Protector 🤣🤣🤣🤷♀️
SFO -> Athens. Bus to Delphi. Me, local Greek food, wine, and wandering the ruins of Sun gods (Apollo). Those silver granite mountains must be seen to be believed. I imagine the locals must have had calves like mountain goats, because it was a city of five levels flush against the mountainside.
To all of you, Montana is where God takes vacation!!! Beautiful country, great people!!!!!
New Zealand is a wonderful country from what I've seen.
I wouldn't go anywhere if I have to spend travel time and it's solo and only 3-5 days
@JasonCuddles I’m with you. I’m not sure if some read the specifics of the OP. I took it literal 😊. But hey if money is no object I’d get the Concorde back in flight! 🤣
@relaxtoday221 a childhood friend of mine is from Montana and I’ve heard no end of its beauty. One day I’ll make my way there 😊😊
The Grand Canyon, and ride a mule down to Phantom Ranch on the Colorado River.
Would love to visit Budapest, heard it's a treat, also would finally catch a glimpse of Gabor Balda.
