Donations to Cuddle Comfort

Is there a way to donate money to CC? I am an enthusiast-only cuddler and I'm having some success here. I also feel like I've gotten on enough people's nerves to pay a toll.

  • Lol! hopefully they do & if not, than maybe they’ll name a favorite charity or cause for you to donate it to 🌌

  • ☝️ i suggest best donation is to share your experience in news, news paper or advertise CC,Facebook,Instagram, youtube. Ect.

  • @PeopleLikeUs I haven't noticed you get on my nerves, though just in case you've, paying a toll is more than welcomed lol.

    In all seriousness though, that's so kind of you. I think about giving back as well, though so far that only remains a thought. Go you! :)

    @Lovelight donate me a cuddle 😏

  • Gotten on people's nerves? I don't recall your getting on my nerves, but it's hard to keep track πŸ˜†. Anyway, I think the best way to contribute is by hiring pros, since they pay for this site. I echo what others have suggested, such as contributing to forum discussions and promoting CC on whatever social platforms you're on, including plain old word of mouth.

  • @PeopleLikeUs - when or how have you got on people's nerves? The assumptive NERVE! ;) Thank you for your kind words. I'm tagging @Mark if he hasn't seen this already.

    This site was created as a nexus for enthusiasts. Pros came later - not before enthusiasts. The three groups now on CC are: enthusiasts, Pros, and clients - and the occasional overlap of those respective groups.

  • @PeopleLikeUs That's very kind of you to offer but we don't currently accept financial donations. I agree with the earlier comment - spreading the word and being involved in the community are great forms of donation.

  • @Sideon "when or how have you got on people's nerves?"

    I'm kidding kind of. I have created more than my fair share of friendly fire here. I like to flex my rhetorical skills and I'm more interested in this forum than other forums simply because when people sign up for CC they're asking for help. Thich Knat Hahn in his book "The Art of Communicating" gives 6 mantras of loving speech, one of which is "I know you suffer and that is why I'm here for you." He repeats this in his book "How to Love" along with the mantra "I suffer, please help." He explains how suffering is to joy what left is to right, or up is to down. They're inseparable. If you open yourself up to one you are automatically opening yourself up to the other. People on CC are admitting this when they join. They are recognizing that they can't meet their needs without others. I, for one, tend to not shy away from conflict. So at times, I have made waves when the lake appeared to be still. In fact, I know of instances where it's gotten pretty gnarly. But this forum has gotten much more civilized than it once was.

    Interesting topic, and I see some good/helpful comments. πŸ‘

  • I would donate too. I love it here 😍 ❀ πŸ«‚

  • IDK ~ It'd be kinda cool if there was a fund people could pay into to help those who are on low or fixed incomes offset their costs for pros. Or for pros who wanted to go to the next level, to be able to tap into it as a partial scholarship of sorts...

    I suppose if one had a Pro they really liked, they could offer the money to them with an ask to pay it forward (to give a discount to someone in need). Not that they would have to, but nice that they could without losing out on part of their income.

    But I'm not a pro, and I haven't hired or even met one, so these might be unrealistic ideas... πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

  • @quixotic_life - I really like your idea of us as a community finding a way to donate/support those on low/fixed incomes in need of financial support in order to be able to hire a Pro for their cuddle needs. I would be happy to contribute some money to that idea personally.

    Perhaps a possible verification that the person on low/fixed income actually used the money for a cuddle would be for them to take a picture with the Pro (and with the Pro’s consent of course) and write a positive letter of their experience with the financially-supported cuddle, which could be shared on the home page of the CuddleComfort website, and/or in CuddleComfort publications.
