Exercise has a lot benefits, it helps me to be less nervous😬,depressed☹,stronger, active💪 it's part of treatment
Haven't managed to exercise with any kind of consistency during the past couple of years, but occasionally do some weight lifting/squats/cardio/walks outside.
It's been tricky especially this year with my chronic health issues flaring up more. Made a good go at eating more healthily and exercising frequently early on but then had to stop. Hoping to resume starting later this year.
Walking, hiking, dancing, and a little bit of weightlifting with dumbbells at home. I don’t eat everything I want to eat, because I have a sweet tooth and would be a very fat man if I ate all the desserts I wanted. As it is I’m slightly overweight, but my daily exercise and modicum of restraint keep me relatively healthy.
I am an endurance cyclist and I ride my road bike 3,000 - 4,000 miles per year (and that doesn’t even count miles of mountain biking). I also just purchased a used Bowflex to add so strength training to my workouts.
I walk around the downtown area where I live, and try to use the stairs to or from my 6th floor apartment a few times a day.
Also, I sometimes exercise poor judgement. Does that count too? 🤔😏
@JoyfulHeart 🤣🤷♀️ @nurturingman what kind of dancing do you do?
@MCcuddles2 I love the enthusiasm you used to describe your passion for boxing. Thanks for sharing!
For me, I stumbled upon katana workouts online, bought a training sword, and eventually felt my brain rewriting itself to have fun working out. I even started using my sister’s boxing bag she left behind when she moved.
There’s also a cuddle buddy on here who inspired me to get adjustable dumbbells like he has. I hate clutter, so it’s nice to have the variety without hogging space.
Last but not least, dog walks have always been the best!
I climb telephone poles
Beatsaber
I like walking, I try to do 1-2 miles a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening
I miss rock climbing ! Where my climbers at?!
There's a pleasant blast from the past. I haven't done any rock climbing since I was a kid. (Rock walls just to be clear, like in @Nature_Lover_ 's post. Mini me wasn't scaling any mountains 😂🤣)
Basic bro split at the gym. Push, pull, legs. Heavy compounds followed by accessory work at moderate-high reps. Go about 5x/week.
Avoid stress at all costs. Eat and drink healthy. Take a multivitamin every day. Get 7-8 hours sleep ever night. Avoid exposure to toxins like pesticides, weed-killers, air fresheners, perfumes or any other chemicals sprayed into the air.
Look Mom, no hands
@Morpheus nice climbing skills! @Shake49 ever wanna try climbing as an adult? @dandaman90 that sounds like a solid routine !
@Nature_Lover_ yours is much more impressive
@Nature_Lover_ absolutely! 😊
@Nature_Lover_ Ty. I think Rock climbing is far more impressive. I've always thought about picking it up but I would not be able to manage with my current goals.
I’ve lost 80 pounds since the beginning of April. Mainly cutting carbs, intermittent fasting and walking/hiking. 80 pounds may seem like a lot but I’m a big guy, 6’3 with a large build. To put it in perspective, I’ve lost around 25% of my body weight. I feel so much better, it’s almost ridiculous.
@Morpheus good job man. I know the work it takes. Im down to 225 from 352. Keep up the good work
@Morpheus That is seriously amazing! Love to hear it! @dandaman90 Ive just had a chance to get started with rock climbing and have been out of it a while. It’s more challenging than I would have thought but it’s insanely fun! Definitely recommend you or anyone who ever considered it to take the leap as try it.
@Nature_Lover_ I love this discussion. I've always wanted to try boxing for all the reasons you mentioned. I love something that has so many variations, and keeps you guessing. I also love playing! To that end I do regular workouts (2-3 days a week) with @epiccassidy (on instagram). She does interval training and I honestly haven't found anything else like it that keeps my body so able and strong at the same time. Plus she does really dynamic movements that are a lot fun and not repetitive. I love the challenge and fun of it. In between real workouts, I love walking, running, hiking, dancing, and playing soccer, Frisbee, or (fill in the blank with any game). Based on another thread read, you like a good relaxing cuddle, which I've come to realize is also my favorite😍. I used to think I loved active cuddling, and while I love dabbling in a variety of cuddle positions (variety) I recently had a cuddle where we melted right into each other and it was so relaxing I fell right to sleep. I don't think he every wants to cuddle with me again 😂, but I'll be dreaming about this cuddle for the rest of my life. Active life, chill cuddles! I'll have to connect with you if we find each other in the same city!
I have been very active in the gym for about two years. I really focus on fitness during the pandemic. 🧡💛💚
