Ladies, if they lied about one thing...lesson learned

Guys, @Cuddle_RN doesn't so much need advice as empathy. She's taken the action she wanted to on this matter, she's just reaching out to the cuddle universe to lament and, to some degree, to warn.

Very good point, @OutOfTime . I tried not to respond to the OP's post by telling her what to do, but I did approach it as a problem to be solved. I also felt very angry, furious even, about what that man had done— not just to her but to me as a man who people innately distrust because of men like him. I know my reaction was typically male, maybe toxically male, even. I tried hard to mitigate my immediate impulses, but my first reaction was very much one of anger, problem solving, and blame— not of her but of all the men that have made this a messed-up world in which men can barely find anyone to cuddle with, much less pay them to do so, and women can hardly find anyone to cuddle with who won't abuse them, whether they are paying or not. Reading her post, I fell into a slump of hopelessness in which I considered getting out of cuddling altogether. But I'm fighting to remain optimistic; in fact, I booked a session with a pro for tonight partly to be reminded of the beauty of cuddling and re-energize my passion for being a proponent of cuddling.

There is also the discussion post title addressing women, not men ("Ladies, if they lied about one thing...lesson learned"). Still, I think it's fair for men to weigh in as well, since this is a problem that affects everyone.

I'm a work in progress, folks.

  • @Ahmedali999 "Report him on profile or bad karma is ok but he can make another account. Because most members know 1 member here always get banned and make another account because he attacks pros and CC."

That is one thing that's bothered me about this site. I know for liability reasons they can't say they're keeping people safe. But if members get banned for how they treat cuddlers, even sexually assault them, it seems completely reckless that it's known that members just create new accounts and do nothing to cut off that loophole. It also seems a massive liability since it's clearly known that people do that. Sure if he used a VPN, or different computer/email, but a lot of people wouldn't do that, or know to do that. It's a small way off helping to prevent cuddlers from being sexually assaulted, harassed etc. but it's not done.

  • @I_Am_Not_A_Cat, you actually can’t access CC with a VPN, so there’s that.

The site creators and admins are working on new ways to track and prevent members from creating multiple accounts or coming back after a ban, but they don’t share all the ways that they do so for security reasons. They acknowledge that the current system is not perfect and are developing ways to make it stronger.

  • @Morpheus - he lied about being married because my profile says I won't sneak around behind a wife's back.

@nurturingman - don't despair. I appreciate your self reflection. You're setting a good example for other men. I'm a work in progress too :)

For those with questions/concerns about my vetting process - I am very careful about who gets access to me. I don't meet in person most of the men who contact me here. Only the ones I do meet get my real name. I meet them in public only, until I feel sure they are trustworthy. They don't receive another way to contact me until I'm ready to meet them at my place or theirs. I get their full name and google them to make sure what they've told me about themselves matches what's online. My best female friend gets all the info I have on them in case something happens to me.

Most men get the boot somewhere along in there. Only 4 men have made it through all that - and they are wonderful, and have never given me a reason not to trust them. I have had many overnight cuddles with each of them, and feel completely safe. They take good care of me and are true friends.

I consider that a pretty solid outcome for my vetting process, Mr. Douchecanoe notwithstanding.

Bonus picture of my pitbull leaning on me and dreaming of eating his face 😁

  • @Cuddle_RN does that mean that you won’t cuddle with married men or you won’t cuddle with a married man whose Wife isn’t okay with it?

  • Love the puppy btw

  • I desire to know this guy's username so I can be on alert... Definitely leave karma regardless....if you cannot share his username, then karma is the only helpful way the rest of us can know to be leery of this guy. Not every member reads all the discussions.....
