I wanted to address, to all the community, the thoughts of one pro cuddler on the subject of profile photos. Or lack thereof, rather.

I completely understand if a client wants to remain anonymous as far as their profile goes, and I never judge a client by how they look--unless they literally look like they don't have basic hygiene, which has never happened!

However, it is a fair requirement that before meeting, a candid face photo be sent via email or text so that I know who I am opening my door to (incall), whom I should be expecting to open the door for me (outcall), or if it's a public meeting, to be able to pick my client out of a crowd.

This is actually a fair requirement of any cuddler. Members with no profile photos: Please expect this to be asked of you if an in-person meetup is ever set up. Thanks!

  • I totally agree and I offer/provide this when confirming an upcoming session. I always ask if it is OK before sending. It is in the best interest for both of us to be as comfortable as possible before the first meeting.

@JFGreen That's a great policy you have, of offering and asking consent to send a photo, so your cuddle partner-to-be isn't blindsided. :)

All this should be on your profile page , to inform the potential client of this requirement , before they contact you

@sparklyblue-eyes Is it not obvious that meeting someone for the first time and inviting them to your home or going to theirs, each would be asked to send a photo? If I had an office, that would be different. Walk right in and schedule an appointment! But this is different.

The clients I have, have no problem sending me a photo. If a potential client does have a problem with it, then I take that as a reason that they should not be my client. They have seen my photo; the reverse is only fair. I don't judge by appearances, I only like to see who it is I'm opening my door to (most clients have been incalls so far).

By the way, I used to have a note on my profile about the photo thing, but it made the profile uber-long and many clients didn't read my profile anyway (same for a lot of pro cuddlers, unfortunately). I've revamped my profile to mention it again, though.

To all of you who do have legit photos posted to your profile, it is much appreciated. But I understand if you need to be incognito for the profile pic. The send-by-text option is a second-best. :)

Star I suggested mentioning the requirement in the profile, so an interested prospective client , prior to sending a message, can get a photo uploaded into his profile , if he has none . If the client strictly does not want to offer images of himself , either on his profile for a short period of time , or have ready to text ,he may choose not to even send an introductory message , and move on to the next paid cuddler .

Perhaps the client might inquire what your privacy policy is . If you only need the photo for what you say , I.E, to identify the client in a public place , then as soon as you meet , you delete the photo from your device ? Do you give it to your check in person ? The client may feel more comfortable knowing that his image is not stored somewhere .

  • @sparklyblue-eyes, you raise an interesting conundrum: what picture to send someone who asks? You can send a pic that is already publicly available, such as from your Facebook page or LinkedIn profile. But if they do an image search, they'll come up with all your social media stuff, and know more about who and where you (and your family members and friends) are than you might want. Alternatively, you could just snap a selfie that is not posted anywhere else. That immunizes you against an image search. But years down the road, someone (say, at your Senate confirmation hearing LOL) might want to know how an attractive young woman in another state got a non-public picture of you. "Is it true, sir, that you have paid various women to ... cuddle with you?" I can see it now. ;-)

Seriously though, if cuddle practitioners succeed in getting this recognized as genuine therapy, then HIPAA privacy regulations would likely apply. those have teeth. On the other hand, if cuddling continues to be seen seen as relaxation and recreation, then no rules apply, and someone's assurances about privacy practices won't be worth the Internet ink they're printed on.

Wow this got sooooo much more complicated than it needed to be. I see who they are, remember that, and nothing else happens with the photo. Period.

If the person who arrives to my door isn't that person, then guess what? I don't open the door. Easy peasy. That has never happened, though.

And re: HIPAA--until the feds get all up in my business, I think it's a fair way to deal.

Quietman , a hearsay policy could work for the shy client , they may be looking for just something to hang their hat on ( the same hat he puts on for the selfie , along with the sun glasses, and fake mustachio, I hope he remembers to put those on for the meeting).
Also , the client may want to get vibes, of just how reverant, the paid cuddler considers their work , considering , that the PC ( and OP)wants to bring the cuddling "into the mainstream" , as mentioned elsewhere.
Good point about the photo conundrum , I did not intend to find out which is better I'm glad you brought it up . I had no idea one could do a photo search . I will have to learn that one.

I will say, since I know a touched-up, modeling, and/or celebrity photo when I see it, I will do an image search of those. Then ask for a legit candid photo. One user I saw in the New Cuddlers bar had a profile pic of Nick Frost's face!
