  • Poor OP!!! @ernesto_2 I am so sorry for derailing this thread with all of the SASS and SILLY that is happening!!!

Please flag this and report to the moderators to keep these boys ON TOPIC!!!!

Here's a question for the OP. Would you be willing to take a male with you or just a female? What kind of vitamin deficiency are you looking for when you are hoping for a co-pilot. The trouble might be that NOBODY would be willing to stop for directions but you wouldn't have to stop as often to go pee or look at the world's largest rubber band bouncy ball!

  • But could I stick my head out the window….

@sillysassy any gender can make for a fun co-pilot. It's just about balancing the right energies over the right distance. You definitely want to make sure you can tolerate each other.

@calmcontact I want to get a jeep for my next car so I can just take the doors off... no need for windows!

  • @ernesto_2 You are so right.... Balancing the right energies with the right distance. There are some that I wouldn't drive to the store with!!! Can you imagine renting a 13 passenger van with a few of these lovely humans? We're headed out of Boston and we'll grab you along the way!!

@KYtranspant You are killing me!!! hhahahhahaha 😂🤣😁

I couldn't imagine being trapped in a car with an energy vampire. I'd be strapping myself to the roof rack.

I was thinking about this thread and traveling to meet new peeps. It made me think of "While You Were Sleeping" with Sandra Bullock and she talks about how her Dad would just pick a place and they would go to "New and Exciting places like..... Miwaukee" We need a light up globe that spins like Wheel of Fortune and creates the next "CUDDLESCURSION" for sure!!!!

  • @KYtranspant This is how you take care of an energy vampire

  • I’d consider road tripping with a cuddle buddy I knew and trusted. I would not do it with someone I did not. Also, I think the suggestion for a short trip first is important. Not everyone makes a good travel companion.

    @FunCartel oh hell yes!

And I probably wouldn't make a bad travel companion for about anyone. I've driven all lower 48 states, 5 Canadian provinces, I make my living driving. A little bit more locally these days.

If I trusted and got along well with cuddle partner, I could imagine flying to a certain city, having an overnight cuddle with them, getting in the car and making a one-day road trip with a couple of stops, having another cuddle and sleepover in the next city, and then flying home from that city the next morning.

(The first overnight would give me another chance to make sure that we were compatible at that time, and if I found that we weren’t, I would want to change my itinerary to fly out from the same city the next day.)

  • I think I should add that I met a cuddlebuddy twice, and then there was a bit of a gap. Shortly before I went on holiday - two day drive, staying overnight with my elderly parents - I got in touch with her and the consequence was that she came with me.

She had the option of flying home at any time, we weren't far from the airport and there were plenty of flights.

We were together for nearly a week and it was great. We remain firm friends and cuddlebuddies.

On a completely separate occasion, for complicated non-cuddling reasons a long time ago, I did a six or eight hour Ikea trip with somebody I never met, where we had to make joint decisions. We could have fallen out repeatedly, but we didn't, and we remained friendly afterwards.

The key point is, if you have properly talked it through first, and you both genuinely want it to be fine, then it will be fine. Your risk is ending up with somebody who (consciously or unconciously) wants to have arguments or be an arse.
