Sidekicks .... are they the real superheros???

I pretty much stated what I'm asking in the title lol... so ... 😒 the role of the side kick is always down played in my opinion. Sure batman is a movement by himself but like trey song says .. we're a force when we're together.. lol 😆 I'm always the side kick and I prefer it that way I don't like too much attention ... anyways are u a side kick or superhero or are we all super and heros in our own unique ways? Lmfao don't mind me it's 3.30am and I'm flying high 🤪🤣

    Depends on the context, but a good sidekick is a whole person as well in just a different way. A duo should complement each other and bring out the best (or worst) depending on what they are aiming for. For example, Harpo Marx could make things funnier in his silence and physicality after a well-placed quip from Groucho Marx. More recently, Coach Beard is the perfect Yang to Ted Lasso’s Ying. A sidekick completes the hero which in itself is a heroic feat, but the human impulse is to categorize hero, sidekick, villain, etc.

    Of course, the greatest sidekick was Mini Me. The perfect Id to Dr. Evil’s Ego.

    I thought that was Ne-yo on, “You make me better” w/ Fab 😝 … me I’ve always been side kick (even up to this day) but in the last couple of years I’ve been able to identify what I have to offer as well as my strengths & I’m lead in those areas, but yes I remain side kick within my circle & love it that way.

    Sidekicks are very important in real life and in comics, no one can do everything on their own. When Batman was on his own for a while after losing his second son he wasn't able to do his job properly and a young man (who had already found out his secret identity) broke into the Batcave to demand the role of Robin, so that Batman could have somebody by his side to keep him in check and help in ways he can't. You see the "someone demanding to be the sidekick because the hero can't handle things properly on his own" storyline a lot in superhero media as well as things like Doctor Who. I think it is important to remember that the "sidekick" character is respected and powerful and needed. The hero and the sidekick have to have a mutual respect, to be partners, or it's no good.

    Balance is important.
    And so is teamwork.
    Partner seems like a better term. The "sidekick" is just as important and whole as the "hero"
