Why would people not post their picture?

  • @MonkeyNeedsAHug “PS Maybe I’m missing the boat here. Are we talking about people who don’t have a profile pictures that shows their face and body type? Or are we talking about people who want to meet up IRL but won’t share their pictures in anticipation of doing so?”

Great question, been wondering the same.

  • It's very simple. Some people don't want others to see that they are on this site for various reasons and would rather send a picture to you privately, Cuddling is still not an acceptable activity in many circles and many don't want others to know that they are part of this community. What I do is that if someone does not have a picture I ask them to send me one when they are comfortable with it.

  • When I used to have pics up before (& ofcourse just like the majority in here I didn’t want people knowing I was here) my logic was that if someone in my personal life realized I was here, than that meant they had an account as well since you can only access the website by logging on) so they are just as guilty as being vulnerable as I am lol.

@cuddles_ndream actually, the whole world can read these forum discussions. In a way, this is a good thing, because I might not have found out about this site if it weren’t for Googling some keywords and finding a discussion in this forum about what I was searching for.

Anyone in the world can also see who’s here and look at every profile unless certain users prevent this in their settings:

  • @nurturingman that seems to be a misunderstanding or a mistag because @MonkeyNeedsAHug wasn't characterising people with no photos in a bad way. Just questioning and even he doesn't have a photo of him currently. So it wouldn't make sense for him to do that.

  • @nurturingman ooohhhhh can they also see pics if googling & not logged on? Ty soo much for the info & the how to for preventing this 🙏🏻

  • @Lovelight I meant that I agreed with @MonkeyNeedsAHug (❤️ that username, BTW) in his sarcastic characterization of @CuddleDuncan ’s characterization of users who have no profile photos. 😆

  • @nurturingman nevermind I tested it out myself & yes you’re absolutely right 😅

Thanks for saying so, @nurturingman !

I loved that episode of Black Mirror and couldn’t believe it when I realized the user name was still available.

    🙉!

  • @MonkeyNeedsAHug I didn’t know that was from Black Mirror! Now I’ll have to check that out.

Aren’t we all monkeys (well, primates) that need hugs? 🦧🤗

  • Oh!
CW: Black Mirror is not everybody’s cup of tea. It’s pretty dark.

    @MonkeyNeedsAHug that's because it's "non"-fiction :wink:

Also, why didn't anyone add that some people just don't put pictures up because they're self-conscious! :frown:

I learned from @nurturingman to soon
upload video, short introduction about myself🎞📽

forget about pictures, long discussions, trust,no responding, debates ect life is short .
☝️☝️☝️ no no no I'm getting old👨‍🦳 ,so you see will the real me.

  • I can’t speak for anyone other than myself but I choose to not post my photo on my profile because of my profession. Whenever I contact someone on this site about booking a cuddle I explain my occupation and offer to send photos or meet by video chat. So far everyone I have communicated with has been very understanding about my situation and I’ve had great cuddles with 3 different pros. With that said, if someone didn’t want to cuddle with me due to me not publicly posting a photo, that is their choice and I don’t take any offense, everyone needs to be comfortable and make their own decisions.

  • Ok... Im talking on my behalf.
A lot of people that are good looking, they post buch of pics of them self. BUT... some one, ugly AF. With low self esteem... like me.
They don't want to put their pics afraid to be judged.

  • @Chris04 you look average at worst. :)

    Though I get your point.

@Chris04 You’re a little ugly, but I’d cuddle ya. 😉 Just kidding about the ugly part — and I know you cuddle the ladies. From the Karma I read on your profile, I’m sure you have nothing to worry about.

Thank you to everyone who continues leaving their comment, i read them all and i love it, thank you!☺️🥰

  • I for one agree with this thread. What kind of heathens refuse to put their real face up. For shame, I tell you. Shame! 👀

  • I personally agree, however it is just my opinion but I believe you should show your face cuz its like a mutual understanding cuz not knowing who your cuddle buddy is can be quite a surprise. Not everyone like surprises.

  • I am a very private person.

And, coworkers, employees, neighbors, friends, relatives, enemies or the kid down the street.... doesn't need to know my business.

Beyond a doubt, I would share photos, phone number, whatever, prior to meeting someone.

If I am open to cuddle with someone, I definitely will be open to sharing details of myself.

Since I desire privacy, rest assured that your privacy will be respected.

That all relates to non-paid cuddlers.

For a pro, why should I share personal information? If I use a professional massage therapist I don't. How is this different?

  • @Mark2016 do you have massage therapists that come to your home, you go to theirs or at some hotel where they are practically the only ones there doing that work?

Instead of an establishment where they have their coworkers, other clients/patients, etc., under the same roof?

I mean I guess the former exists though, there's a side to massage therapists where they feel safer because of that and probably cause they've ways they can verify you who you are/secure payment.

I don't know much about how massage therapists keep safe. Though I can understand why a pro cuddler who is practically going alone over to strangers' places or vice versa would need to see who you are.

  • @Chris04 - you are not ugly.

I've actually had people tell me I'm ugly, but that says more about them than it does about me.

A lot of people have posted various reasons why pictures aren't shared. I do understand why some people don't post pictures.

@DimpleGirl I'm ugly aswell what can I do 😭 ? Is there any solution I'm hiding under my musk

  • Well why i don't have a picture
Is because I'm married and want to stay that way .
Plus im not sure if i want to
    Cuddle with someone yet.
    Some people can get lonely
    Even when they are married.
    Sometimes people grow apart.
To cuddle or not to cuddle if your married ?

  • @patsfan 👀 🍿 lol but i I hear you.
