Skeptical about certain popular pro cuddler profiles

  • @Gaba - pros get a lot of no-shows and last minute cancellations, hence the reason many request a deposit. Of course, clients have the same problem. Often they have booked a hotel and then the “pro” (and I put that in quotes because real pros are reliable) don’t show or cancel at the last minute.

The site doesn’t monitor this, these transactions are strictly between the pro and the client. However, if we get multiple reports that someone is doing this, not showing up or cancelling last minute, they can be banned.

  • Yes booking a hotel for a no show can be a big loss

The Client Service Agreement states in the Payment section:

"11. The Cuddler will ask for payment from the Client for the Full Session Price as previously agreed between the Cuddler and Client on the website. Payment for each session is due before the session or at the very start of one."
"12. The Cuddler has the right to include a deposit requirement as part of their service. The terms of such an arrangement falls outside of our purview."

This is to ensure the Pro receives payment for the session. Should the Client do something during the session ranging from anything non-platonic to violent and anything that puts the Pro in an unsafe situation, the Pro is allowed to leave at any time without giving any refund. Many Pros, shortly after starting to see Clients, begin to require a deposit as it weeds out those who aren't serious about booking or those who end up not getting paid at all either by Clients who cancel the day of the session or never show and have no intention of paying the Cancelation Fee or Pros who make the mistake of not taking payment before the session begins and don't get paid before they leave.

  • Deposits are ok.
What I find more and more... Interesting... is when you have to tip upfront... Like food delivery. Why is that a thing, lol...I always feel like if I do 0%, with intention of tipping upon successful delivery, that I'll get "worse" service. Such an odd thing.
Even today, I ordered pickup online at a place I haven't been before and it asked for a tip in the checkout. I had to select custom and put 0%. Like wat, a tip for putting it into a bag?

  • @entwine I don’t think tipping should exist at all for any job. If it exists for one job, it should exist for all.

But it makes sense with the 0% tip, they probsbly think you won’t tip at all because a lot of people do that.

Even if it’s a pickup order, it still takes tome to process and takes time away from tipping customers, so tip is appreciated even for pickup
