  • Let's called a spade a spade ok I agree with Andrew anyone can call themselves a pro if you will doesn't take a rocket scientist to cuddle anyone can do it .but then again in my experiences I had some awesome cuddles and then there were those that lay there like a dead corpse lmao.im sure we had those in the past, and like it was mentioned before sooner or later the ppl that charge crazy prices with either lower the prices or will be deactivated, delete account.iv seen numerous come and go ..

  • If you don’t like us calling ourselves professionals, you’re going to have to deal with it. If it’s something you don’t care about or it’s something you don’t have an interest in, why does it matter to you? Why go out of your way to demean or belittle us? All this does is paint you as a different person; someone who will go out of their way to say “pfft, calling yourself a pro… what a loser” helps no one. Look the other way or search only for enthusiasts. I see no point in people going out of their way to bash what I do for a living. I make money doing this. I’ve been doing it for almost 3 years and I’m damn good at it. I’m a professional cuddler whether you like the title or not. It takes a lot more than just laying there. Do it as a full time job and see for yourself all the hard work it takes to do what we do (the professionals who actually care and love this job).

    Sincerely,
    A professional cuddler.

    @MrMarkAndrew

    From the OED:

    professional, adj. and n.

    A. adj.
    II. Senses relating to or derived from (the conduct of) a profession or occupation.
    3.
    a. Of a person or persons: that engages in a specified occupation or activity for money or as a means of earning a living, rather than as a pastime. Contrasted with amateur.

    This is the sense in which the word is used on the this website.

    I suspect you are condsidering it in the sense of:

    1. That has knowledge of the theoretical or scientific parts of a trade or occupation, as distinct from its practical or mechanical aspects; that raises a trade to a learned profession. Now rare except as merged with senses at A. 4.

    However, Cuddle Comfort does not collect information on the theoretical knowledge of professional cuddlers, and does not check any claims or comments made on such topics in a person's profile.

    @SleepySheep1 is therefore correct.

    Edit: As is @Sheena123

    Quite separately, many professional cuddlers put considerable time, effort and expense into their training.

  • The term, “you’re not really a pro” is used here (meaning on the forum / threads) to attack those who charge a fee to cuddle.

    I think it would be a good idea (or a thought) to consider changing the name “pro” to anything else under the dictionary … you have enthusiasts & cuddlists for example … cuddlist charge a rate / fee while enthusiats don’t … it doesn’t even have to be the word “cuddlists” could literally be anything else, you can filter your searches by enthusiasts only / cuddlist only / or don’t mind … it is very clear that pro is meant to mean fee required but people passive aggressively use the opportunity to attack an entire population …

  • @carino

    if you will doesn't take a rocket scientist to cuddle anyone can do it .

    Well, it's true you don't have to be a rocket scientist but it is simply not true that anyone can do it. The vast majority of people couldn't do it. Cuddling complete strangers?

  • As one who works in the rocket industry, I can attest to the statement that one does not have to be a rocket scientist to cuddle, but it does take a caring heart.

    This is a Groundhogs Day topic - it keeps coming up over and over with the same results.
    Pro cuddlers are a respected part of our community and we do not allow bashing of pro cuddlers any more than we allow bashing of anyone else.

    It’s doubtful this discussion is going to be any more productive than previous discussions on this topic. As a result, it is being closed. - Babichev
