How to see if there is a connection

I'm fairly new here and just became Pro but one of the rules is we can't exchange numbers until after a booking. I would feel safer to be able to talk to someone over the phone before a booking is requested just to see if we click.
I have yet to meet anyone in person because of this rule. How do you get to know someone before a booking?

  • How about just take the booking, talk on the phone, and then if you don’t want to move forward cancel the booking?

Pretty sure this is how other pros handle this.

  • You can either spend more time here on the site getting to know them or make the booking and then have a video chat or call. The only reasons a pro should cancel is either because of scheduling issues or if you feel unsafe. Either than that, there aren’t many reasons you would cancel.

I know some pros will refuse cuddlers because of race or age, and that is entirely wrong. You cannot refuse cuddles from someone based on discrimination. So most likely, when you make the booking and chat with them, it should be fine enough for you to follow through and cuddle. Just make sure you vet them and both of you understand your boundaries.

  • Good advice already in these posts.

There's no need to get bogged down in the details of the rules, it's the spirit that matters. Many professionals have a screening phone or video call before meeting a new client, and the precise order of the various elements of agreeing the date, formally making the booking and having the call are a matter for you. Site bookings can be cancelled or changed.

The point of the rule is for safety. It's also a tripwire for potential time-wasters and the like.

  • There is a rule that contact information cannot be exchanged until an appointment has been booked through the system. This is to keep pros from circumventing the system in order to avoid paying the 15% commission.

This question might be best addressed in the Pros Only forum but since some pros have answered here, I see no reason to move it.

I think, as others have said, what pros probably do it book a session and, if after phone or Zoom conversation it’s decided not to go forward with the session, it can be cancelled.

  • Okay thanks everyone. I didn't realize you could cancel a booking so easily but I will proceed that way. Before they approve me as a pro I was able to talk to someone on the phone but during the conversation he said things that really made me uncomfortable.. This is why I want to speak to someone outside of the site first bc some guys know what not to say through messenging here.

If you insist on taking communication offsite please use a throwaway number like google voice, it's free. Never give clients your real number. They can gain personal information from just your phone number you don't want strangers to have.
