    @soullover

    Which God, though? That's a very important piece of information. A "God that created our spirit" applies to many, many gods.

  • Jesus not God, Where did Jesus say I'm God worship me? and I'm ready to be Christian if you show me ,but not twisting or write something good about Jesus

  • MCcuddles2
    That's what am talking about, are we all in error or is there truth, you joke around and is okay you haven't seen nor given light to know and understand what I know. And you see I can't talk publicly of this things for their is many people like you and I don't wish to harden your hearts with what you don't seek to understand..

  • I never joke about business.

  • Hog The only true living God, there's many gods created by the fantasys of man. But there's our God, the father of our spirits.

  • Ahmadali,
    Jesus is our savior not our God for he himself said to marry go unto thy brothers and tell them that I have ascended unto" my God, your God. My Father, your Father.....

  • The universe exist and there's laws given to time and space, and galaxies and planets and even this earth cannot cross it's limits.. but I will say no more if you seek the truth message me if not don't bother it will only harden your heart..

  • @soullover - Glad to hear you’ve got the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you Zeus. Now could you please cool it with the preaching? Thank you.

    @soullover

    Sorry to butt into your chat with the other fellow, but you've provided me with an important piece of information!

    So, you've said stuff about Jesus, which leads me to believe that your truth is Christian in nature. I've got a few more questions.

    You appear to maintain that there is a singular truth. I'm curious: what do you make of the proto-orthodoxy? What are your thoughts on Irenaeus? Was he correct to label Gnostics (and many others) as heretics? What, in your mind, is canonical when it comes to scripture? Are any of the apocryphal texts worthy of reading?

    Addendum: I'm asking all of that because there has never been a singular interpretation of Christianity. There were schisms from the very start of the faith. I hope that you can provide some insight.

  • Let’s not get too far off topic, okay?

  • God created heaven and earth and everything in between enough said

    The James Webb telescope has successfully launched into space today. It will be able to see back to the formation of the first stars and galaxies. Maybe it will help us shed some light into these questions.

  • @MCcuddles2 , it may tell us how. Why is probably an unanswerable question.

    Here's the answer. There are things that exist our egos and comprehension can't understand because of scale. I think about light speed and how long it takes to get to the next xlosest star (aside from the sun), you can't fathom it because of scale. But to put things into perspective, we don't understand consciouness and that is our daily driver. If we don't have the ability to understand ourselves yet, why do we believe we have this anchor in a reality status quo? Ego f*cks with you to make you feel comfortable and safe, but the truth is, we ain't shit, but we believe we're special.

    @carino

    "God created heaven and earth and everything in between enough said"

    Thanks for the lulz.

    I think what people refer to as God, Allah, etc. are all the same thing and it's not a him - people tend to anthropomorphize things. People of the past made up mythologies (Roman gods, Egyptian gods, native American gods) to explain things that we now understand (like why the Sun and Moon "move across the sky"). Likewise, people made up stories about God to explain things that happen.

    I do kind of believe that there's some energy out there, or collective consciousness, that links us to each other and everything in nature. It feels so not coincidental that there are so many patterns in nature that can be explained mathematically like Fibonacci spirals and different energy waves - and the fact that humans, dogs, cats, lizards, etc. all have four appendages with five fingers, five toes, two eyes, two nostrils... It just fascinates me. And then the variety of the creatures in the ocean, and the variety of insects but how there's so much similarity. You have scorpions in the desert, shrimp in the sea. We've even mathematically made sense of or come up with mathematical ways to explain time, music, computer language... Anyone who says math isn't important doesn't understand that literally everything is math. Your own existence - you went from nothing to eternity (0 to infinity). Like at one point, you never existed and now that you're here, you will always have existed. 🤯

    The entire universe - even just what we have here on Earth, and everything that we've created that started from someone having a thought is amazing. The cell phone I'm holding - each of the parts that make it up - started with a thought someone had. And maybe we started with a thought someone had. Maybe our universe exists within an ornament dangling from a giant cat's collar. Maybe we're inside a video game and as science makes progress in VR, AI, etc. it is getting closer and closer to being able to replicate us and our game that we exist inside.

    We will never know the how or the why. Really feel now like I need to go smoke something though. 🤣

    @MaineCuddle well said
    The biggest reason why I believe in God is justice. There are so many oppressions on earth, example orphans money been taken away who's going to judge them for taking orphans money if they get away from court or police, another example like people in need if they have been oppressed and get away with it, who's going to judge them, sometimes thiefs get away from stealing who's going to judge them, i believe there's a God.

  • Main cuddle you said that god is not a him then what is it a her? Some kind of energy? Clearly you dont know the bible, perhaps you should stop the smoking instead of the need to smoke more🙂

  • If I had a penny for every atheist that says "oh god, oh my god" when bad things happen or gdt into some sort of trouble,id be rich

  • [Deleted User]Moxytocin (deleted user)

    Carino, I said people tend to anthropomorphize "god". There's no him or her. Maybe it's energy. Maybe it's just an idea, something someone invented to explain things, scare us into having morals, and threaten to punish us when we're wrong (I don't believe any of this). And when we yell, "oh god", we're not speaking to a G/god any more than we're speaking to s#it when we say "oh s#it".

  • The word god should not be used by an atheist. For an athiest to day the word god os truely not an atheist but a believer..and no, god is not some energy 🤦‍♂️

  • [Deleted User]Moxytocin (deleted user)

    @Saysoh I agree there are things we can't possibly comprehend from our perspective. Reminded me of this...

  • [Deleted User]Saysoh (deleted user)

    @MaineCuddle

    Having a conversation with someone loyal to an ideology like @carino is, is pointless.

  • [Deleted User]Moxytocin (deleted user)

    @carino I think you're referring to God not the word, god. Actually when I say it, I tend to say "Oh my gawd."

  • [Deleted User]Saysoh (deleted user)

    @MaineCuddle

    That video is hilarious!

    "Five seconds in like a century in bacteria time."

    @carino

    As an atheist, I do try not to say "Oh my god". It can be difficult at times, mainly due to sociological/linguistic factors, which you've surely taken into account in your clever comment.

    Instead, when in duress, I exclaim horrible things lifted directly from holy books. Some examples follow:

    "Women are property!"

    "Genocide is permissible."

    "Don't eat shrimp!"

    "A fifty year old marrying a nine year old!"

    "Aaaargh, mixed fabrics!"

    "That rapist is gonna buy my daughter!"

    And so on. I feel like these things carry much more weight than a unspecific utterance.

  • The God of The Bible is not affected by time space or matter if he was affected hes not God. Time space and matter is what's called a continuum. All of them has to come into existence at the same instinct. Because if there was no matter but wherewould you put it? If there was matter and space but no time when would you put it? You cannot have time space or matter independently they have to come into existence simultaneously .. The Bible answers that in the beginning there was time God-created heaven there's space and the Earth there's matter, created of trinities of trinities. And the God who created them has to be outside of them if hes limited by time hes not God the God who created the universe is outside the universe hes above it beyond it through it hes unaffected by it

  • And the concept that a spiritual force cannot have any effect on a material body that you would have to explain to me things like emotion love hatred and envy jealousy and rationality if you think the brain which weighs only 3 pounds is just a random collection of chemicals that was formed by chance billions of years ago how on Earth can you trust your own reasoning process and the thoughts that you think?.....proverbs3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways submit to him and he will make your path straight

  • @carino what makes you so sure that your God is the real one vs the plethora of other gods human believe in?
