@Zundar: Fair enough. I s'pose if I posted a soliloquy explaining how Melvin the purple sandworm is actually responsible for my struggle to keep cuddles platonic—which everyone shares, of course!—it'd be just as well to ignore that, too.
@jondavid firstly, I noticed you're quite the new member, so welcome...
"All of this is kinda weird, y’all all know it. There’s something we are all missing in life. There’s a void in us all. It’s been that way since the beginning of mankind (Adam and Eve)"
All of what is "kinda weird"?
The fact that the site is for platonic cuddles only, that someone made a highly questionable post* ... or that there are people who push boundaries, thereby disrupting our effort to meet our platonic needs in a safe and comfortable manner?
"This type of site stirs up curiosity, and the cuddle stirs up an emotion that can break the platonic relationship."
"stirs up curiosity"? " an emotion that can break the platonic relationship"?
Bruh, what are you trying to say...
"This will always be a risky platform."
No, people are responsible for respecting other people's boundaries. "The platform made me do it" isn't gonna fly.
This post and some of these comments sound trolling to me, and like they should no longer be 'entertained'. Nor get us turning against each other by getting into arguments we don't need to. Y'all are grown enough to understand and the site is clear about what it's for. There should not be ifs or "however" about it.
@Sheena123 said it well:
Well stated @Lovelight
Kind of tired of these kind of posts...this kind of question should be covered in a FAQ
@jondavid - Speak for yourself. Do not claim to speak for others.
All - Please stay on topic lest we end up with another train wreck and closed thread. It’s getting tiresome. I’m counting on you guys to stay on topic, play nice, and spare the drama. We’ve had more than enough.
All good points. Thanks for the honest, firm answers.
Sexworkers and sw clients scouring the forums for non-platonic smoke signals. wink wink
OP, one other thought - you were talking about seeing pros. If you're paying pros and talking about whether inappropriateness can be appropriate, you're really talking about crossing a line into sex work (edit in person full service) which is illegal in the US.
.
@MaineCuddle I’m really not talking about crossing the line into hiring a sex worker or looking for sexual services at all. I think the site guidelines and rules have been established and questions have been answered in this thread. That being said, cuddling a person, in my case a woman, and holding their body, even with my hand(s) on their breast, can still be platonic. We’re looking for touch therapy, which to me, could be intimate but not sexual. Obviously, the more that is permitted or the more that a person requests, pushes the boundaries and gets the situation closer to something way out of the realm of cuddling and closer to sw. Also, as has been said, and I agree, this whole discussion is pretty much against the rules of the site and beyond what any professional cuddler here should be agreeing to. I apologize to anyone that I may have offended. I still don’t know if I’m communicating clearly and I understand how some people might think that this discussion is way out of line - again, not my intent.
@mc_quiettime: So you want to put your hands on a woman's breasts so badly that you aren't willing to accept that that's pushing the boundaries of what's acceptable.
You aren't willing to keep your behavior unquestionably platonic—you've just gotta touch you some boobies—and you assure us this is totally platonic for you, nbd, what's making this so important to you is definitely not any sort of sexual desire or anything like that. Nooo.
Sounds totally believable to me.
@mc_quiettime It's been mentioned before in this thread, that site guidelines prohibit placing hands on areas typically covered by undergarments. That includes a bra.
If I told you not to touch an uninsulated high-voltage line, would you ask if it's ok if it's only an accident, or if you are only touching the wire in a platonic way? I think that you'd figure out a way to be sure you didn't touch the wire.
The waters really aren't as muddy as you are pretending they are. In short, the answer to your question is
NO!
@DaringSprinter yiu can take it however you want. I’m not here to argue. There’s different levels, different boundaries, and different opinions for everything. We can agree that you and I won’t be scheduling any cuddle time and if i try to schedule with anyone here, I would abide by the rules without question.
@mc_quiettime
That being said, cuddling a person, in my case a woman, and holding their body, even with my hand(s) on their breast, can still be platonic.
Would you cuddle your mother, sister, niece and/or grandmother with your hands on their breasts?
If you are looking any sexual contact why look here? There are plenty of websites for that. You probably can find that without paying much more than the rates here.
@mc_quiettime: Oh, you'd abide by the rules without question. Cool. Cool. Including the rules regarding not touching bathing suit areas? Or would you try to convince your buddy that sticking your hands on their boobs was "intimate, but not sexual"?
I wonder.
@mc_quiettime once you build rapport with a pro, you can discuss the boundaries and what they feel comfortable with. As I mentioned earlier, intention is important, and the dynamics of the interaction between you and your pro will usually decide what the boundaries are going to be and what the pro might consent to. Honestly, I would not request any touch which violates the site guidelines, like having your hands on breasts, no matter how platonic your intention is. I wouldn't go there even if your pro may seem okay with it and consent to it. By doing that, you risk getting banned if reported, and whether there was consent or not is irrelevant at that point. Why risk that?
@mc_quiettime — I think this site will better suit your desires:
www.tinder.com
^ I hear people of both sexes say they go there for dating, but they’re actually there for hookups.
Sounds much more like what you are looking for. That is a website where people say they are there for one thing, but in practice are actually there for a completely different type of thing.
@DaringSprinter why are you so triggered??? I asked general questions. I haven’t and am not planning on trying to convince anyone of anything. If I wanted sexual contact, I would go to another site but that’s not what I’m looking for. You and whoever else can have fun continuing to pick my words apart and act like I’m some type deviant. I’m comfortable enough with myself that I’m not concerned with your assumptions or judgment.
Follow the rules of whatever site you're on...period. The internet is a big place. There will always be somewhere to go to satisfy your desires. (If it's legal)
@mc_quiettime: Do I seem to be experiencing emotional upset? Huh.
Sorry you don't like my personality—I get snarky with people who say they want to do blatantly sexual things but claim they're actually platonic. Just my sense of humor, you know how it is.
Hey guys, I was gonna open another thread to ask a question, but I figured I might as well ask here.
Is it cool if I drape my scrotum across another cuddlers' forehead? It would be entirely platonic.
I know that this site has very clear rules regarding these things, but hey! Maybe there's a testicle-on-forehead loophole or something!
It's not sexual. I swear. I don't care what you think. It definitely isn't sexual at all.
No.
Pfft.
@mc_quiettime What @Rezz said. Lets have this conversation as though we were talking about cuddling your grandmother. Are you still feeling confused about boobies?
A nudist can claim that cuddling naked is still platonic. It doesn't mean it belongs on this site.
And... dropping the snarkiness for a bit... if you honestly are just really into foreplay, being straightforward about that on Tinder or some other non-platonic site is probably your best bet.
Oh my, here comes the firing squad. Have fun folks…
I just asked a simple question based on your own quote. I didn't twist any words.
So I'll ask again.
It's a pretty straightforward question. 🤷♀️
I gave my advice. Now I'm checking out of this thread. I don't like virtue signaling Internet mobs ganging up on someone. Nobody likes it done to them but many have no problem doing it to others. I'm out.
While i think the OP asked a question he already knew the answer to (it's not platonic, case closed) i do agree with @snugbuddy 's assessment of this turning into an online mob. It seems to happen quite a bit on these forums and i notice that it's always the usual suspects involved. I'm out of this thread as well; it should be locked.
