Nobody wants to cuddle

[Deleted User]cam_714 (deleted user)

Is it me? Am I doing something wrong? Am I ugly? I’ve had this account on this website for 2 months and still haven’t cuddled any women. Most of them just ignore me when I text them. I try to be friendly I just say something like “hey what brings you to cuddle comfort?” Is it me?

  • There are a lot more men than women.

  • @cam_714 - Connection with people, especially women here, is a matter of numbers and volume at first, and takes a good deal of patience, especially if you don’t have any Karma yet.

If you want to be successful in connecting with people here, you will find more success (especially at first) by reaching out to a number of people, and then to promptly respond to the messages you receive from others here, so that they see your responses and communication while they are here online at the same time as you.

I got into the habit in the first few months of checking the app every hour to see if someone returned my message and for me to reply to them. Saving the CC website to the Home Screen of your phone makes this process easier.

Also, I encourage you to focus at the beginning on reaching out to Pros before enthusiasts, as Pros seem to communicate more frequently and visit the website more often than many enthusiasts do, in my experience.

  • Unfortunately alot treat this like a dating site. I don't have my picture up for personal reasons. After 2-3 messages they ask for a pic. After I send.a pic, they stop messaging.. It takes awhile if you don't meet a Pro. I have met about 5 non pros, but easily talked to/ msg another 20-25 that stop after a pic. Good luck.

  • Hey, its not you, for some, the concept of cuddling a stranger can be a little nerve wrecking. Pros are Pros because its a job and so we put our shyness and nervousness aside like you would at any job with customer service, but cuddling for free, it makes it more like blind dating... I havent really met many enthusiasts men or women, only pros and guys that pay pros. I wish you luck... much of the time that I've been on this site was reading the forums, its helped me at times when I felt lonely. Also, some people still dont meet up with new people or go out much since Covid.

  • Nothing is wrong with you, just keep trying and prolly offer more hours

  • After meeting a few Pros and getting positive Karma, helped some feel more comfortable meeting a stranger too.

  • @cam_714 - I've been on here over three years and my results are not much better than yours. I woudn't rely on this site to find cuddle partners.

    Yeah pretty much.

  • @samfiddle: What someone deserves is as subjective as what someone's worth.

I used to think I didn't deserve kind, gentle touch. Turns out I just hadn't met the person who valued me enough to see cuddles as my just desert.

  • Most new male members go through what you’re going through, so you’re not alone or any worse off.

Female enthusiasts are getting tons of messages. As long as your messages are respectful and interesting, you’re doing as much as many others of us are. So, there nothing wrong with you. Just gotta keep at it and build up your profile as you go along. Maybe expand your search area? Take a break for a while? Messaging new people continuously can be pretty draining.

  • I don’t cuddle men because I only want to cuddle woman. For several reasons. My profile even says ‘cuddles woman’ yet I still get plenty of men on here messaging me regardless. SMH.
Why do you ONLY cuddle woman? Why don’t you cuddle men too?

  • @Indigo1234 People who read profiles before sending a message save themselves and others a lot of time. I'm sorry that people are ignoring what you have there.

Don't discount cuddle4health's comment ... my guess is a good number of people are putting their cuddling on hold until the latest COVID surge is over.

Hey Cam, I can see following factors as to why a guy (in this case) might not have gotten response/cuddles from women.

1- not enough women around and they’re potentially overwhelmed by messages.
2- there are pros around but the guy may not be able to avail the benefit.
3- women are busy or don’t login enough to even respond back.
    4- current global situation.
5- guy not hosting the cuddle.
6- women may not necessarily feel comfortable inviting/hosting a strange male to their house.
7- guy may not meet the woman’s preferred age bracket. If they do fit then they’re competing with other men who are in same age bracket. Kind of like a product fighting for a market segment.
8- You wanting to cuddle when you’re depressed is a negative emotion she’ll have to experience while cuddling. That’s not an outcome she is voluntarily willing to expect/expose herself to during a cuddle session.

    These are some basic factors/observations.

  • Ironically, CuddleComfort is probably the LAST place I'll find a non-commercial cuddle! I stopped trying years ago. I did actually get some messages from a woman in Toronto once, because she liked what I said in the forum. I would probably be more likely to get cuddles asking random women in the store while shopping.

  • I have had 9 enthusiasts I have cuddled with, but as previously noted, it takes patience and communication skills. If you are messaging a female cuddler you have to remember you are one of many and yes, you are competing for their attention. At worst, you need to send a pic and am introduction. Ideally, you send a pic and put considerable thought into your message and make sure you show interest in them and not just your wants.

  • @cam_714 Given the amount of similar messages other enthusiasts (and pros) receive, I would recommend reading their profiles and asking a more original/specific question other than "hey what brings you to cuddle comfort?" More often than not, that question is already answered on their profile and no one really likes repeating themselves.

  • Because this is not a dating site, because this is about professional cuddling and because cuddling involves presence, proximity, and so if people write from miles ago it's not going to happen. I suspect most people who write to me want to be "friends" in the distance just as some people I find in "dating" sites. I want presence, for which I will hire a Pro or become one. I am not interested in losing my time messaging. I don't think CC is meant for that. Does anybody read the rules?

  • @Arieletra actually the site started out just as enthusiasts, and later on added the professional side. People do message each other to get to know each other. Some don’t ant to message a lot and some don’t kind, it depends on the individual person.

  • @FunCartel - How do you put any thought at all into composing a message to a woman who's "About me" section is completely blank?

  • @GreatHornedOwl I don’t send messages to people with blank About Me sections because my belief is those are people that believe it is All About Them.

  • @TheGMan I can’t really speak to the first seven, but I definitely think example 8 really may be one of the reasons. Because if I saw that I would probably pass on you because I’m an enthusiast and I want to enthusiastically cuddle. I’m not sure I want to cuddle with a needy person that may be just taking and not giving. And if someone doesn’t know you they’re just going to assume that.

@cam_714 you have a beautiful smile! You look like a person someone would want to cuddle, because you look happy in your pictures. So I would take out that part about being depressed. It’s good to hire a pro to. Just for the experience.

  • Changes my name to Nobody cause I want to cuddle. :P

  • @bekah_cuddles that’s a brilliant idea, I remember when I was on the dating site, men were just say hi. I was thinking to myself did they read my profile do they have any questions about what I say in there, do they wanna know more about any of the stories that I have. The guys that did that were the ones that I messaged back.

You have to stand out in a pool of men you have to be the one that stands out.

  • @cam_714 , many are on this site for various resosns:

    1. Dating - Not really for that , but there are those who use it as a dating site.
    2. Curiosity - Want to find out what this site is all about.
    3. Employment of Cuddling .

I have had much success with Pros. Not so much with enthusiast. Read profiles, see what they say. Also look to see when he cuddlier was on last.

  • I concur with the previous comments. Just be patient.

    • There are a variety of reasons others don't reply or acknowledge your messages (all of the above).
    • You may want to focus on the Pros to get a few Karma's on your profile. This gives others more confidence/comfort in who you are, etc.
    • Another idea: consider a virtual cuddle (phone or video). More and more are offering this option, especially due to Covid issues, distances between you, work schedules, etc. Virtuals are typically more affordable too if finances are an issue. This can also allow you to obtain a few Karmas to your profile which may help.

    Hope this helps.

  • I agree with not being able to host might be an issue.

@ cam_714 your probably one of 601 men featured in a search pattern initiated by 79 women . Anyone of them can browse 600 profiles in a single afternoon and probably observe one orbtwo that they might find cuddle worthy . Then log out for a month or two ignoring the site , and log back in and check over search results again . Even if the numbers were the other way around , 601 women to 79 men , the same number of cuddle encounters connections call it what you want would occur .

I agree with the observations of others about your profile , an unemployed guest only is less appealing then a successful college grad gainfully employed who can host in a safe environment. I would edit your profile to eliminate “ unemployed” ( your not concealing it , just let that come up later in conversation ) . I would add “ public “ cuddle and “guest “ cuddle . Remove the photo that displays you in your living room in front of the mirror that shows the ceiling being patched and unpainted . It suggests a section 8 rent assisted apartment ( occupied by tenant {you} who feels depressed and is over valuing his cuddle appeal ) Display a photo of you outside , perhaps at a local park with a nature background .
