@Melancholy I wasnt responding to you specifically.
A good example is trans women. Trans people are over 4 times more likely to be the victim of violence than cis people are. Of these, the great majority are trans women. Trans women experience such higher rates of violence than literally anyone else often because they are perceived to be men who should be punished for refusing to conform to traditional gender roles. Its similair to why gay men are much more likely to be hate crimed than gay women (who absolutely experience more violence than straight, or even bi women).
