How have you been lately? With Parliament and everything overseas, is everyone alright? ('-')♪(・∞・)ノ。
No, I'm not alright at all, but thank you for asking. My guts hurt, I've had bad aches and the runs for three days. (I have IBS.) I can barely buy bog roll fast enough. I'm worried about some of the stuff we talked about it in my therapy group the other day, I'm struggling to make sense of it. And then my parents, who are getting old and are going to hit needing care quite soon and, I suspect, quite hard. They live far away and I'm the shortlist for being the main child involved. The trouble is I can't even look after myself, never mind someone else. Then there's the money situation of course. I need more work but I can't do more work, how can that be resolved in a non-gorrible way? Hint: it can't. And then the longer term stuff, career and all that. What's going to become of me? The garden: will I ever get that fixed? And the fatness. I hate being so fat. Yes I know it's not that bad but still. Then there's Ukraine of course, that's very worrying for a number of different reasons. And remember the covid pandemic? That didn't stop just because a Russian idiot kicked it off the news. As for today, I have admin work that must be done, and that makes me very very stressed indeed for reasons I still don't understand fully. Will I avoid a full blown panic attack today? Yes I will, but it will be hard work. All doubly hard because of my wretched, wretched guts. The headache is just mild dehydration, I'll get rid of that soon enough. And no need to worry about the tube strike, I'm not going into town today. So that just leaves the other problem in my belly, namely being hungry but not knowing what I need to eat. When you put it all like that it's no wonder I'm still in bed and slightly struggling to get up.
How are you?
I don't know as I've ever been all right. Certainly less is right with me lately than it's ever been, but....
Yesterday I discovered that I can bend my right elbow in most directions without debilitating pain, which was a nice surprise after the time spent not being able to use it at all. I can put weight on my left knee without it collapsing, which is a fantastic development.
My fine motor control has dropped and my hands have picked up some fine tremors instead, which was a very unpleasant surprise.
Then again, the searing pain in my upper left arm has faded to an ache, which is lovely!
I still tire way too quickly, and fall asleep at weird times as a result, but hey. You can't have everything. And at least my savings mean this is a vacation rather than a life-threatening event: I can still pay rent! I'm drinking tea and eating toast, and the young author in Ukraine whose work I read was still alive yesterday, anyway.
You can do everything right and still have everything—including your body—fall apart around you. So what's to be done? All you can do is your best. Sometimes it'll be good enough.
I appreciate those moments.
Is everything all right? I don’t think so. I think I’d much rather be in New Zealand.
How did the pandemic play out there? Back in the beginning you guys had it so much under control. I loved seeing the videos of your Prime Minister. I wanted her to be my President/Prime Minister. Eventually stopped hearing about it and I got the impression that eventually you guys got hit with it, too.
I have a couple of wonderful friends there in Christ Church.
I would looove to move to New Zealand. Never been there but just based on everything I've read and seen. The U.S. likes to think it's the greatest. Nah.
I have been to New Zealand, and it's just as wonderful as you imagine.
Oh my goodness, after almost nothing these past two years NZ is now having a surge. So sorry to hear that.

Hi porkjelly, is it more difficult finding cuddlers where you are? I did a search of Auckland with 300 miles distance of those who signed on within the last month and only found you and one other person. Almost makes me feel like I need to fly out there to provide you business!
I have always thought of New Zealand as the Southern Hemisphere’s version of Iceland. That’s a compliment and I think a good comparison as Iceland’s Bjork once had a dress made of ostrich feathers from New Zealand before she took to wearing a swan. As a result, the islands have a synergy.
Hello hello OrangeCountyCA, yeah? Not many cuddlers here, I didn't expect to get the Professional title but even then no one was really around to cuddle. A girl needs a hug sometimes!! Honestly New Zealand! Stop being staunch and admit you want cuddles(○`д´)ノシSTOP! p(╬ Ò ‸ Ó)q ˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )‧º·˚
