@MaineCuddle they certainly seem very happy to be around you! Maybe that's all we can hope for, as pet parents- that our fur, feather, hair, shell and scale babies enjoy our company, for whatever reason.
There is such a thing as your pet loving you too much. This is my cat 95% of the time I use my computer then I have to reach around him to type as he tries to stick his face in my face or do whatever he has to do to make it impossible to type.. Telling him to leave me alone doesn't seem to work.
@dpl my best friend has 2, the older one is 100% to herself & independent … she shows affection when its feeding time lol
The younger 1 is verrrrrrrry attached to my best friend, she follows her all day , she doesn’t want nobody else to pet or cuddle her absolutely no one , she is too much attach to her we laugh about this lol I wish I can post videos … I don’t know if this is love or just bonded, but what you shared reminded me of her

Ugh. I've just re-read this thread and while I stand by what I said (for the most part, the personal comments weren't called for) I'm embarrassed by how I said it and how I conducted myself. That's not who I want to be.
People not listening to me is a huge trigger for me (in the actual meaning of the word, not in this commonly used infelicity whereby people mean they simply don't like something) and I guess I just felt unheard, or like my points were being missed on purpose so that someone else could be 'right'.
It wasn't right of me to behave in such a way, and I didn't plan for my replies to get so heated, and I certainly regret the harm my comments have done.
