Connection

edited March 2022 in General

A couple of weeks ago I reconnected with someone who had been away for a year, and we had a very lovely cuddle session.

One thing that struck me was that she was genuinely happy to see me again, and had been thinking about me, even though she was a professional. She also suggested something to do together outside of cuddling (joining me for a hike I had already planned).

It was a reminder of one of the things I really value about cuddling, which is connection. Touch is wonderful, but when I feel valued and enjoyed as a person as well, that's just amazing.

Strange as it may seem, I wanted to write this is in response to the groping thread in the professional cuddling forum. Pretty sure those people won't end up reading this, but anyway: by breaking trust and trying to take what was never offered, you have no idea of the treasure you are missing out on. Providing a safe place for the person you cuddle means they can be free to connect with you in a different way, which I would not exchange for anything.

  • @respectful Thank you for understanding the treasure of true compassionate platonic cuddling, connection, care and love. Yea I said platonic love folks and I meant it.

Beautiful things happen in all domains when you are able to respect boundaries, consent and otherwise truly care for one another. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’—βœŒοΈ

  • Awwwwww I love this so much!!!!! 😊πŸ₯°πŸ’– @Nature_Lover_ PLATONIC LOVE!!! Yes!!!! @respectful you are such a fabulous example of what the site and the idea of platonic snuggles is all about. So many tingly things happen when we are willing to look for a true connection. Oh Mister..... I have tears about how sweet and wonderful you are. CONNECTION the extra special gift you get to have when everything aligns because you both have a similar desire.

There was another thread talking about "no strings" touch. There was a fabulous comment which I will quote here because a CONNECTION, IS about having a few strings attached. In a good and healthy way so that if you get a chance to see them again in a month or a YEAR you still have the ability to relate to the goodness you shared in the original connection.

No strings attached? Nay. Not unattached; what we really mean is hearts unbroken. Emotional, mental, and spiritual boundaries are there as much as physical boundaries. But connections can't be made with no strings attached. The commitment lasts for the moments we cuddle, and then we walk away, perhaps for a while, perhaps forever, safely disconnected and hearts intact, each of us having experienced what is mutually beneficial and desirable as humans.-@CookieCrumb

Thank you Mr. Respectful for such a lovely share.

Why all of this is so far beyond the comprehension or care of so many is beyond my ability to comprehend.

  • @respectful Thank you so much for caring, what a beautiful time could be had, when you feel totally respected. πŸ’›

@Nature_Lover_ @SnshineScarlett @sillysassy @Gallowglass Platonic cuddling is certainly a form of love -- as long as both people are on the same page about what kind of love it is!

Fei Wyatt ( @HugsFromFei ) wrote something about this on her blog in 2018: The Four Letter L Word

    A quote:

Just yesterday, I had a first-time client comment toward the end of the session β€œThis feels like love.”

He was perplexed by it. He had never experienced it in this form before. β€œMaybe it’s common between parent and child, but adult to adult love is rare.”

He didn’t specify, but we both knew he wasn’t talking about romance.

  • @respectful this is so beautiful.

    @respectful you nailed it.

I had a session recently where within about a half a second of her walking into my door, this girl and I were floating through the Universe. The connection was so far off the charts that’s it couldn’t be measured. Excluding my Wife, this may have been the best time that I’ve ever had with a girl. These are the priceless moments that cuddling and this site has to offer.

Take cuddling out of the picture in regards to connection, but let's talk about how special human connection is in general, yeah? I think about my friends I talk shit to when their favorite football team take a loss and when I call them, the conversation ends with, "I love you." Someone from another state is coming to visit me because I messaged them and said, "we have the same tattoo." You don't have to cuddle, albeit sometimes encouraged in some cases, but you really just have to love. We have way more in common with each other than we know when you remove ideologies as a variable and just remember we're all in this fight together. It's not hard to love. You just can't be scared of it.

  • @Saysoh ~ I love that!! And it's nice to see you on here again too ~ πŸ€—
