“A part of the journey is the end”

“A part of the journey is the end” - Tony Stark

I am not really sure if this is the end of my CC journey or just an intermission but tomorrow morning I am embarking on a week long, solo mountain bike adventure in what can best be described as the wilderness. I am taking advantage of this time to do a complete digital detox from all forms of social media, streaming services, web surfing, etc. I am not sure if I will be returning to CC after this week’s adventure so I am deactivating (but not deleting) my CC account.

I have been going through a lot in my personal life over the past 6 months - that is what led me to CC in the first place. To paraphrase the classic line from Cool Hand Luke, I am using this week to “get my mind right” before making some pretty big decisions.

Before I deactivate my account, I wanted to take a moment to thank all of the pros I have met and cuddled with since joining CC last August. I have learned from, been comforted by, and grown as a person from the time and conversations I have shared with each and every one of you.

I also want to thank everyone I have conversed with in the forums and by private messages. I have gained perspectives and, in many cases, inspiration from our exchanges.

I have many great memories from my time here and really only one regret - I wish I could have a do-over of one private conversation I had with a CC member because I believe we were much more in agreement than it appeared due to poor communication on my part. It was never my intent to sound argumentative but in hindsight I know that is how I came across. I sincerely apologize for the hurt I caused.

I wish everyone here happy cuddles and all the best on each of your individual journeys and hopefully some of our paths will cross further down the trail 😊

  • @JohnR1972 ~ May the wind be flowing your way, the sun rays wrap you up to keep you warm in the shade and your trip provide you with all you want and need.
And should any complications arise may you have all you need to handle them swiftly, and beyond all else may you be safe and highly visible throughout.

@JohnR1972 Good for you, hope you have a good journey and find what you're looking for. I've thought about disappearing into the wilderness myself a lot and never really had the guts to do it. Good luck and be sure to be safe.
