I found my first cuddle by looking at a person that had several friends and good karma. And we were able to maintain conversation through texting prior to meeting for coffee first. During our first coffee meeting we chatted for three hours and talked about all the protocols that are appropriate for platonic cuddles and once I felt like we were a good match I met him at his place and it was a wonderful experience probably the best cuddle I’ve ever had honestly he unfortunately is no longer on here but I think he ended up finding a sweetheart which is wonderful.
Definitely ask lots of questions prior to meeting someone. I’ve had one bad experience to where I had to just walk out unfortunately. Good luck, friend🙏🏻❤️

Just to throw in my 2 pence. I would say that the expectation is cuddling only. That being said, approximately 100% of my meetings led to a lot more intimacy. Granted, my cohort is only 6 in size and I may have some level of selection bias toward partners who I sense are more open to taking things further, though I genuinely don't think this is intentional. 🤷‍♀️

As for reasons why not to use a hookup site; there are many.

I consider sex as a foregone conclusion to be a bit crude and would like to maintain a sense of fun, spontaneity and magic if and when it happens. Secondly, as a male, success on those sites depends on traits that I don't consider my strengths. Not that I'm unattractive, unfit or don't enjoy a moderately good lifestyle. Success on CC comes more from making a woman feel safe and comfortable, which is where I feel I can offer a lot more.

This is just my perspective, one which I hope is helpful to someone.

It appears you are admitting you are not here for platonic cuddling. At the very least, you are violating site rules to which you agreed which is that you will not engage in non-platonic activity during sessions arranged through this site. That being the case, I’m putting you in time out sitewise until I can discuss this with the other mods. - Babichev

Sex is a "forgone conclusion" in other words, certain to happen, and happening when you make a woman "feel safe and comfortable". Your profile says "mostly asexual" and looking for public cuddles. Talk about misleading and sounding like a predator.

Thanks for your message Moxy but you are totally misunderstanding what I’m trying to say, which is that I don’t like there to be any pretences. Though if the vibes are there I’m open to anything, which is also the case with women here in my personal experience.

I created this profile 5 years ago and back then Asexual was the option I most closely identified with. It is certainly not an effort to deceive. I still feel that way most of the time. 🤷

Hmm... I must have misunderstood this statement "I may have some level of selection bias toward partners who I sense are more open to taking things further".

In any case, this is a platonic site. Pros and enthusiast women constantly have to deal with people who have hidden agendas here.

  • My hidden agenda was discovered!

Right. What I meant is that I have unconscious selection bias, not a proclivity for manipulation lol. 🙂

Anyway, I just wanted to share a real world experience and not just proliferate the party line.

What you are doing is admitting you are violating the rules to which you agreed when you signed up with the site. Duly noted. [Babichev]

  • Somehow this just keeps becoming more and more of a dumpster fire. Yikes.

  • @comfortfood I don't understand the part where you say "Granted, my cohort is only 6 in size". It sounds like you are saying of course it led to non-platonic cause the woman was only a size 6. What does that mean?

  • [Deleted User]Moxytocin (deleted user)

It means his sample size, or the number of cuddlers he's been with. So out of 6 cuddlers, all 6 did more than cuddling.

  • @Moxytocin Thanks for clarifying. I didn't realize he was using cohort as plural.

  • @Moxytocin I meant to also say I didn't realize cohort IS plural. My vocabulary leaves something to be desired, but I am pretty good at reading between the lines. Thanks again.

  • [Deleted User]Moxytocin (deleted user)

@achetocuddle That's ok, I read that line, "only 6 in size' as something else at first so. 🤷‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

  • I totally thought he meant the size of his “mini me” and saying that’s why he isn’t as successful in dating sites. I was very confused lol

  • See, it is you lot with a one-track mind! omg 🤣

  • I secretly vowed to myself not to get involved further by posting anything more on this thread. But, alas, I cannot leave biased comments unchallenged. Therefore…

@Moxytocin you say, “Pros and enthusiast women constantly have to deal with people who have hidden agendas here.” So no woman on this site can have hidden agendas? I find your comment to be very chauvinistic and inaccurately one-sided.

  • [Deleted User]Moxytocin (deleted user)

@edawsew THAT'S the comment you decide to pick apart? Yeah, the overwhelming majority of issues here are experienced by women and caused by men. Chauvinistic? Ok.

  • You can't have an open conversation with these "pros" because they have an entire industry predicated on the fantasy that completely non-sexual cuddling is possible in the mainstream. Anything that threatens that house of cards, like the notion that most people have a sense of sexuality (heaven forbid!), must be swiftly shut down.

I was quite bemused to be characterised as a predator by someone that charges some poor lonely soul $100/hour for a cuddle. Setting aside the efficacy of any therapeutic benefits, capitalising on someone's misery smells like predatory behaviour to me. Like a lap-dancer that teases hundreds of dollars from her mark, or the US health care system. I really see little difference.

  • @comfortfood ok I was fine with kind of overlooking your comments about sexual intentions between cuddlers here but now I see you lack respect for the site and pro cuddling. Using quote marks around the word pro along with saying we take advantage of ppl obviously shows you don’t have respect for it.

Just because it’s something you won’t partake in, why bash those that do? Take that negativity elsewhere. A lot of cuddlers find positivity and importance in it. Get over yourself.

    @comfortfood

entire industry predicated on the fantasy that completely non-sexual cuddling is possible in the mainstream.

It's not a fantasy, it's completely true. It already exists and is extremely widespread.

Examples include the cuddling of children, animals, dying relatives, bereaved friends, wounded soldiers, and goal-scorers.

If you think that cuddling is in any way sexual it means you simply don't understand what it is that you're trying to do.

You are right that a large section of the population don't understand. Many of those people burden themselves with an additional falsehood, namely that if they don't understand something it doesn't exist.

@edawsew I myself am now feeling compelled to comment because @Moxytocin's original comment had said that "Pros and enthusiast women constantly have to deal with people who have hidden agendas here.” ..."People" , that includes all genders. In the former part of her statement she said "women experience" and she is a woman and she can only go off of her own experience. She's not discrediting other people's experience. Just giving Credence to her own.

  • edited March 2022

@Verbena she neither used “I” nor “me” when making her comment. She generalized, which if I generalized something similar towards women, I would be burned at the stake.

Now, I see what @comfortfood is saying and you all are getting way too defensive about his comments. He merely stated what he has experienced by using 1st person singular pronouns 😝. He then proceeds to state a fact that when consenting adults - typically single adults - get together of their own freewill that a natural attraction may occur. Just as if you were to run into someone while grocery shopping or at a festival and strike up a conversation, which may lead to an exchange of numbers, getting together for whatever, etc; you know where I’m going.

Another thing, if you don’t think that there is “baiting” by a lot of women (I didn’t say all or even most 🙄) on this site, then you need to take the blinders off. Pros included, there are pictures of women in bikinis, blatant cleavage shots that take up two thirds of the picture, poses of a seductive nature, with clothes and expression to match. There’s even usernames that seem suspicious. Based on these components, I did an OF search and lo and behold, I found a few Pros, with there very own OF websites. Make no mistake that many women are every bit as guilty as many men on this site for having ulterior motives, or at least expecting a possibility of more than cuddling to happen, and they all are ok with that.

PS. Don’t shoot the messengers because you don’t want to believe that an adult could do something like that 😱 😂 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • @Moxytocin yes, it was a chauvinistic remark. I call a spade a spade. Chauvinists are not gender specific.
