Any motorcycle riders or passengers here?

I told a recent cuddle partner about my passion for riding and my podcast and she she'd love to start a cuddle while being a passenger on my motorcycle.

What an interesting idea, I thought. So we went for a ride to Randall's Island here in NYC which has nice park area and open two lane roads. Obviously there was no cuddling while riding but she did hold on very well for someone who was only on the back of a motorcycle once. And then we found a bench near the river bank and cuddled and it was very nice. And then I dropped her off at her apt building. Would have been perfect except the potholes in NYC are now the size of most studio apartments! ughh.

now if only spring will come and stay it would be fun to do it again and also a suggestion to other riders out there. Start a cuddle session with a short ride and it will be a lot of fun!

  1. Would you start a cuddle by taking a motorcycle ride. Either as a rider or passenger?32 votes

Nice idea for a first or second meeting. Helps to cross the boundary into physical closeness.

  • What a cool idea!

  • Awesome 😎 idea!!! 🏍

  • Ughhh the desire to ride a motorcycle again is strong

Sold mine in summer of 19. I loved riding short distances, I have nerve damage in my my right arm so it makes riding long distances difficult when I'm solo.

However, I'm an excellent passenger, balance well and love to ride.

  • Never thought about this. My wife isn't able to ride on my motorcycle any longer due to her disability. Would be nice to have a riding companion to take with me once in awhile.

Our 1st long bike trip -- Montana and Wyoming in 1970, on a 750 cc Moto Guzzi.
At at an elevation of just under 11,000', Crossing the Beartooth was cold.

I might as well tell the story of my riding.

About two months before I was due to get married, my future bride just casually mentioned that since we were getting married, I would need to get a motorcycle. When I asked why, she answered "so we can go touring." I said "Okay," and completely forgot about it.

Two weeks later, she asked "How would you like to go for a motorcycle ride next weekend?"
I said "I'd love to, if had a motorcycle." I had done a little riding on some smallish bikes.
She was way ahead of me. "I'll take care of that. Pick me up at 7:30.

I picked her up. and we drover to some guy's house. He opened his garage and wheeled out two full dress Harleys. He pointed at one and told me "You're riding that one." Off we went. We did a little over 400 miles on (mostly paved) back roads. When I woke up the next morning, I don't think there was a muscle in my body that didn't hurt.

  • Been riding since 88. I have two bikes with no passenger seats for a reason. I ride alone :)

  • BFF lost an arm in a moto accident. I'd have to pass. Just a reminder YOLO but be careful.

  • I had this old gal for a few months last year... couldn't find a good mechanic; but plan on getting a more modern one soon - just for light rides around the neighborhood.

I don't even like to be a passenger in a car let alone on a motorcycle. And would not want to have someone's life in my hands on the back of a motorcycle I'm riding. So for me it's 2. no way!

  • Been riding about all of my life, over 300K miles and even took it to Germany to run the Autobahn, 3K miles in 3 weeks. What a great time. I like taking my RV and M/C up to the mountains of WV, TN, NC, Florida is to flat.
One thing I learned, if you offer to take anyone for a ride, ask them if they have ever ridden a M/C 1st, you need to explain about leaning thru the corners.
    Be safe out there !!!!

  • I got a Ninja 500R last Fall followed by my motorcycle license a couple months later. I am looking forward to riding this Summer!

  • I love this idea! I haven't been on the back of a bike in over 15 years. I'm way too much of an adrenaline junkie to drive, but I'd jump on the opportunity to be a passenger.

I would loveee to go for a ride before a cuddle! 🤩🤩

  • I have my endorsement and would for sure do this with someone I trusted to not try showing off, or leaning weird, etc.

Another I think would be a lot of fun is snowmobiling before/after!!

  • I passed my motorcycle test in the UK but when I came to the USA they took it away and only gave me a car licence.

@quixotic_life agree on snowmobiling, they are awesome.

Motorcycles are great too, both on and off road.

  • This is cool as hell! And what a way to start of a cuddle sesh 😄

I was just thinking how horrible the potholes are here In the city … I was supposed to go for my motorcycle license last spring & found a course at Lehman where after completion you get your license, but I keep thinking about these potholes & how we literally have the worst streets ever to be on a bike… I’ve been doing the revel thing for nearly 2 years now & I got myself an ebike last year & both been going great, so I guess it’ll soon be time for me to graduate to a motorcycle 🏍

    Thanks for sharing!
