@edawsew I agree with you 100%, well put.
@LatinMan1963 in your first message, you are asking advice on how to proceed when it comes to photos. All you can do is report ones you think are overtly sexual and let the mods take it from there. I’m constantly reporting photos of men shirtless and having their “mini me” making a very distinct shape through their pants, I’ve reported so many women wearing lingerie and sucking their fingers. There’s nothing else you can do but report. I’m not sure if you were looking for a specific reaction by making this post but I’m sure you already know the main thing to do. Just report. What else can be done??
@SCityCuddler
I'm of the opinion that when on CC, if you're seeing someone as "sexy" or "too sexy" that's your first clue to not initiate contact for platonic cuddles. Just move yourself along because you're already feeling a non-platonic vibe. So just don't even go there.
The other issue at hand are those one might suspect are here for the "wrong reasons". So report those profiles, along with a comment as to why you believe they're in violation, and then move along. No need to message them or worry about it further.
The fact is that unless you are offered somthing from another's 'sexy time' menu, you're thoughts are just assumptions. And those assumptions are on you to challenge. I know I've had to challenge my own a few times, but I'll also report because it could be that my reaction is within reason, or it could be that I've got my own warped narative going on too. I leavebit up to the mods to figure out.
What it comes down to though is personal responsibility. Having a thought like, 'Damn that's suggestive!' And then having to unpack my judgements is one thing... but it's as a member of this community I feel I have a responsiblity to report those who (in my sometmes flawed and sometime spot on view) are crossing the line.
To me, both are important for helping to maintain my own integrity, as well as that of the site. 💁♀️
@LatinMan1963 "Cc for some reason has images approved that completely send the wrong signal. Like one kind female member said once in a forum “I’m not sure by CC is really about”."
Not sure about pros. Though CC doesn't do photo approval for enthusiasts. * We are free to upload our photo and don't need to wait for approval. * There are pros and cons to both approval/no approval.
I tried to use photos that are not suggestive for my profile. Hopefully they are not.
I need to repeat again please, this not about females specifically this is about all genders and how they display their material, that’s all.
@LatinMan1963 I guess ppl are confused because your original post says specifically “female”. Maybe edit that to include all genders.
@Sheena123 yup. I mentioned that here but it got lost in all comments.
A well known organization such as Cuddlist, shows their staff in such way.
@LatinMan1963 - links removed. [-Sid]
These images are of course pre approved unlike here. This cleared shows it’s a professional establishment and clients will never get a mixed signal.
Here is quite the opposite. I wished that this company would be more guided a profesional type setting, with a clear definition of the objective of their mission.
@Hellena they are good.
@LatinMan1963 I agree that site definitely gives the platonic vibe that would be nice to see here. Operative words are "their staff".
The difference is that site sells a training course, approves trained members who pay a monthly fee, and they become Cuddlist-branded independent contractors with 1090s to file at the end of the year.
Cuddlecomfort on the other hand is basically a cross between a social media site for everyone and an ad site for pros as sole proprietors (no 1090s but we file and pay SE tax and claim fees as an expense (U.S.)). *We're not Cuddle Comfort trained and branded cuddlers, so how each individual does things isn't policed as closely, as long as we're platonic.
*There are some Cuddlist trained people who are also here.
Yep it is true! The Cuddlelist therapists are trained. One can see right away that their mission is to educate their staff so proper services can be rendered, it’s a more serious and organize establishment
@LatinMan1963 Have you searched there? BTW a lot of them are also here, but I'm not sure there's a way to search for trained cuddlers here. Best bet is try that website. 🤷♀️
Yes I looked and there’s nothing at all for Michigan, Michigan is a huge state with millions of people but no one there for that entire state
@LatinMan1963 I'm not sure about your location and filters, though I think you'll find some who give off a platonic vibe here.
Well! These comments were indeed interesting. What is the take away you think?
Interesting that one of my posts was censured without explanation as to why.
You all have a splendid day Catch you all on the flip side 🙏
@LatinMan1963 It's because somewhere in the TOS it does say links to other sites cannot be shared here.
And just to add, I get what you're saying and women get "policed" because we're the ones who tend post overtly sexy poses (for the most part- not saying men don't). Kind of like when arguing about school dress codes, girls get in an uproar but they are the ones who wear short shorts and spaghetti straps to school "because it's hot outside" and boys should just close their eyes. That's a 'whole nother' debate though. 😂
@LatinMan1963 links to the 'competition' are not allowed ..... especially if you are comparing the competition favourably to CC!
If you're even unsure about why a mod has edited your post or anything, just send them a message politely asking why. The mods here do very occasionally make an error of judgement, which is usually dealt with quite quickly. It is vanishingly rare for them to make an error of fact.
Edits without detailed explanation usually mean you have broken the TOS.
Ah! Copy. Could you please inform me how to reach them?
Just click on their username and send them a message. There is a sticky at the top of the board if you can't lay your fingers on one of their posts.
All the mods here are members of the community. They are just the members of the community who do the most work.
I just wanted add that since cuddling involves the body, I think it makes sense to have pictures that show this. It should not be a problem unless these photos are overly sexualized. But I understand this is subjective.
Have to agree with the OP and many of the comments here. I also find it obnoxious, misleading, and confusing.
I completely hear the comments expressing frustration with being sexualized no matter how modest we are. I’m one of them and I equally share your frustrations. And agree that those sexualizing us have a responsibility to not do so.
So we are not responsible FOR how others sexualize our bodies, especially when we are merely existing and being modest. But we do have a responsibility TO others to not post suggestive photos that essentially advertise what we’re not selling. And while many of us do not do this, many do.
Thus, I agree with the comment that the photos should be professional and/or benign poses and attire, to keep things platonic and non-provocative as much as it depends on us. If others choose to sexualize us no matter how responsible we are for not sending out those signals, that’s on them. I think those in Western society at least are pretty aware of what is overtly advertising sexual overtones and what isn’t. It seems the OP is referring to the former.
@sunnysideup ~ "I just wanted add that since cuddling involves the body, I think it makes sense to have pictures that show this. It should not be a problem unless these photos are overly sexualized. But I understand this is subjective."
Lol ~ Was confused because I've only seen you as a cherry blossom or another that didn't show you. So I scrolled to be sure, and indeed you do have actual pics of you. And a preying mantis...?
Okay, moving along... 👋
@quixotic_life That raises a question for me: is a preying mantis more dangerous than a praying mantis?
@quixotic_life the preying mantis is the actual picture of me.
It’d be quite hypocritical if I also didn’t share pictures since I have that view - at this time I only share pictures with friends or those I’m messaging to cuddle!
@sunnysideup ~ Oooooh... (so confused today)... So I can see the non-manti & non-cherry blossom pics because we're friends on here. Okay, got it.
I think that should be added to your prior bod-shot comment then... That it's important when setting up a cuddle to have pics, but not so much for just messaging... If that's what you meant. Or did you mean it's important for pros to have their bodies advertised up front as that's important to you when "window shopping" for cuddlers to hire??
Speaking of content this is a local tv spot that runs throughout the day on the major networks locally. This local plumber really makes the most of his unfortunate name.
@FunCartel Dick wins the marketing game.
@quixotic_life yeah friend
And for some, I think someones body type matters very little for cuddling, so it varies. As both an enthusiast and client: But to be more precise, yes I think pictures including the body should be exchanged when planning on cuddling someone. When I’m just messaging someone on the forum or really far away, I don’t consider it necessary to send pictures. And yes I consider it useful for a professional to have these up.
