In all seriousness....
Yesterday morning, when I did a little math and realized I didn't start wanting to die around the age of seven—it was more like age four.
Who teaches a kid that being anything short of perfect means eternal torture (but if they die before the age of accountability, they'll go straight to heaven; little children get a free pass)? And why did I have to be intelligent enough to grasp the implications so early on?
Don't give me that "it's fine because Jesus." Sure, it's fine to teach a kid that being imperfect is not just inevitable, but damnable—because Jesus will save them from the fate they deserve if they just do X, Y, and Z!
Tell me another one, why don't you. I was suicidal at four years old, but it's all fine because I don't have to go to the hell I deserve if I meet these eentsie weentsie, no big deal, his yoke is easy and his burden is light! demands. I'll still deserve hell. I'll still have earned it—I'll still deserve to pay for my imperfections with my life. But oh, it's fine, because Jesus paid it all and now all to him I owe!
Pardon the ranting. I was weeping in fury, y'see....

My daughter teases me because I cry at movies. But ever since the divorce and only seeing her half the time, anything where people part or reunite gets to me.

I'm perimenopausal, so hormones... plus an array of other excuses/reasons. I cry about every other day.
Two days ago I watched encanto and it made me cry! But I cry at a lot of movies!!!
I cry during yogurt commercials.
@SCityCuddler me too!! I've also cried recently thinking of "what could have been" but sometimes our hopes and expectations have nothing to do with the person we are actually dating. Regardless I wish him happiness. Time will heal.

Birth of my boys. Overwhelmed with joy and fear.
I have been crying a lot, despite being on medication which makes it harder to do so. I might just be going through a lot of movement, where I’m not having a lot of time to stop and feel. Had to grieve my grandmother the other day and wish her well (and also forgive some things) on the 29th. She passed with family around her, after many of us had ex-communicated her for what we thought were valid reasons. We were just protecting our energy and ourselves.
But to come together and forgive her, that was needed. It was a cry I didn’t know I needed really. I was thankful for this grieving experience, unfortunately. I have never witnessed a family member’s last breaths. Now I have, after swearing I would never speak to them again. That was certainly a sobering cry.

Today. My cat is sick and vet bills are killing me.
@Hellena i haven’t researched pet insurance, but I know they exist, my best friend inquired & told me its not worth it in the area but hopefully it is in yours 🙏🏻
@cuddles_ndream Even with insurance it's going to be hard because my pet has serious issues. Our vet estimate is 7000$ just for tests and diagnostics.
Yesterday was the last time I cried. I cried over a YouTube video. It was a video of a 30 year old cat. The poor thing was limping around because he was so old. What made me cry more was the fact that the video was posted 12 years ago and the cat is likely dead now. Have a look:

@Gallowglass Your post reminded me of when my Dad was ill in the early '90s. He had septicemia and was probably 12-18 hours from dying when he rallied. He said he saw his parents' spirits and they told him it wasn't his time yet.
