Completely blank profiles

Should completely blank profiles with no pix, no description and no fields filled in be permitted to enter this community? Shouldn’t you have to have at least a little bit of skin in the game to be here???

I generally set my preferences to show only profiles with photos, but even when I open up that parameter there are still many still that are totally blank or have one sentence, and it just seems like such a waste of (search) time and bogs down the site. And while I realize it may take a newbie a little bit of time to organize their thoughts, after a few days or so I think it’s time…

I think maybe a good solution might be for people that do not want to display ANYTHING AT ALL to allow them full access to every aspect of the site, but have their blank profiles just be invisible, until such time as they decide to take the next step.

    Such blank profiles are often new members just seeing what this place is like. Many log on once or twice and are never seen again.

    I agree! I think after a certain period of time at least filling out the description field would be nice. I like to know who I'm talking to! I understand why people may or may not want their picture on the site but just the description and maybe the fields being filled out would be helpful!

    Or they could be people who have joined up but simply haven't gotten around to filling out the profile yet. While I do see the frustration of blank profiles turning up in searches, the odds are no one will contact them with nothing in their profile and the only people they are hurting are themselves.

    Yes I think they should absolutely be allowed here, there are people who are naturally shy / timid / introvert ect who don’t necessarily want to share a pic of themselves or open themselves up publicly on their about me, who are simply amazing & need time to open up, or are comfortable doing so 1 on 1 ect … they could very well be (& have been) the perfect cuddling enthusiast / the perfect cuddling client / a future pro - mod - ect / or simply find an amazing escape here being part of the forums (or silent members)

    Filters are your friend in searches. Set it to "Yes" for "Has Picture." All your future searches will then filter based on that criteria.

    Speaking as a mod. Many will set up an account, browse around, and leave. I'm not a fan of the idea of REQUIRING profile pics, description, etc., as I don't want to dictate someone's flow or pace or availability to do so.

    Thank you for responding. I wasn’t calling for everyone to fill in every aspect I understand if someone does not want to put a photo or maybe not fill in everything. My whole stance was just on completely and totally blank profiles. :-)

    Completely blank - yes - most often from the "I think I'll check it out" and "oh, it's not a dating site, I'm outa here" crowd. There are hundreds and hundreds. And hundreds.

    I've not seen 100% blank profiles yet, that does sound very frustrating!

    It could be solved by having required fields, but one of the main points advertised for the site is the 30-second sign-up, which that would negate.

    Another solution would be to have profiles expire after a certain period of non-use.

    As someone who only joined two days ago, I filled out all the fields within an hour or two, but my profile box only has a blip, as I get my bearings here and find out what people may want to know at first glance. I will be lengthening it, soon. :3

    Vote with your feet. People fill in more details as they become more comfortable with the site and the community. The site would not appeal to a lot of people if they were required to check-all-the-boxes, immediately.

    I have absolutely no concern about profiles without photos. This is a cuddling site, not a dating site. I really don't care what a woman looks like.

    On the other hand, a completely blank "About me" section drives me nuts, It's very difficult to send any kind of meaningful message to a woman who doesn't tell us anything about herself.

    That being said, I would not be in favor of banning all blank profiles. I'm not sure about other parts of the country, but in the Chicago Metro area, such an action would eliminate about half of the non-pros.

    Great horned owl Thank you for your reply. It’s frustrating when people don’t completely read the post. Let me clarify my friend I did not say ban anyone. And I did not say that everyone must have a photo. Please re-read the last paragraph. It’s about profiles that are completely and totally 100% blank. That is my main point here I cannot clarify that enough.

    I also completely agree with you on your comment about sending a meaningful message. Hence, once again, my solution.

    @quixotic_life It is indeed a saying. It means, in this case, to indicate your preference by making a choice not to engage a profile that may not be complete. The best way to get a message across, most times, is with a your actions.
    If a person sits on an incomplete profile, over time, and no one attempts to engage with them, it may give them pause to add something to their profile.
    Nothing political or contrary to the post. Just that the organic approach might be a more effective strategy than having a policy which might turn-away some people. That isn't the best reflection of the saying, but it's what came to mind.

    @quixotic_life it is indeed a saying. It means to make your choice known by doing the thing. For example, my sister is in family law. She once said "The trouble with making residency orders for children (i.e. in separated couples, which parent the child lives with) is that once they get past about 12 years old they tend to vote with their feet". Meaning that teenagers tend to just go to the house they want to go to, rather than abiding by court orders or parental instruction.
