  • I cried yesterday because I quit one of my jobs that I was very passionate about. I will miss the customers and the opportunity I had to be creative in that particular workplace.

  • hola @SitaRosee … I’m really sorry , I know the feeling of moving on from a job you’re so passionate about, but I know your decision was for the best! I hope the 2 qt’s are doing amazing & that you all continue giving eachother that amazing comfort! 🐈‍⬛ 🐱 🌌

If it means much, I always thought it was bittersweet to move on. Sorry to see things change but also exciting to see what the future may bring.

  • I have cried the past few days. Sending all of you tons of hugs though.

Monday night. I had gone on an intense call at the end of shift which dealt with a suicide death notification. I was there when LE not-so-softly notified the client that their child was found and confirmed dead. Understandably, the client collapsed onto the pavement gutturally screaming/sobbing in one of the most intensely emotional moments I have ever witnessed in my entire life, and there have been many. It was one of the hardest calls I've ever been on for a multitude of reasons.

@TheMidnightOwl Wow, that sounds about as intense as it gets. Someone near you needs to give you a hug ASAP

@dpl Yes, it was hard going home to an empty house that night. I reached out to friends and asked for their support with the weight of that grief, which was helpful, as was expressing the emotions that needed to come out at home. I've gotten at least one hug since then, thankfully. There's a few ways it could have been more intense, but this was pretty high on the scale.

  • @midnightowl I can’t even imagine how hard that has to be, to witness. Thank you for what you do.

  • @TheMidnightOwl Lots of respect for what you do. Those who give comfort needs comforting too..hope you find lots of hugs and comfort.
