Mr Nobody

So many members on here, especially men, don’t bother to upload a profile picture.
I don’t cuddle men anyway, but theoretically if I did, they’d not get a response from me if they had no picture and were enquiring about a cuddle session. It’s a huge turn off. Two reasons.
1. LAZINESS. Just like the many people who don’t fill out their ‘about me’ summary, I find it extremely lazy to not bother to upload a picture of yourself so other cuddlers can visually identify each other. Laziness is unattractive. I’m going to write my about me summary tomorrow to complete my profile.
2. I like to be able to put a face to a name, and attach a visual identity to the person I may be potentially cuddling. So it feels like I’m talking to a person, not a machine. It’s not at ALL because I’m judging anyone got their looks. Weather you’re pretty or ugly isn’t what this is all about.

Men seem to stress about cyber security and online privacy much more than women do for some reason. And many use that as an excuse to not upload a profile picture on other social media like fb or Twitter. So it won’t surprise me if some hide behind that excuse to be lazy on here too.

But regardless of your excuse, its a big turn off if you are too shy or lazy to reveal yourself, whilst requesting a cuddle session from me.

  • I have been reluctant to post an identifiable pic of myself because I was concerned professionally as well as personally, owing to people's presumption, particularly towards men, that cuddling is a sex worker front. I admit that this might not be entirely rational.

  • I'm curious, if you cuddle women, how have you not noticed the large number of women profiles without a picture, and without any of the bio filled in? It may depend on location, but just judging from numbers in my area, there is a far greater number of ghost female profiles than ghost male profiles.

Discretion. Privacy. You can ask them to send one to you in messages. Some still won't, but you could just choose not to see them, which you don't see them anyway so why does it matter to you? The only reason why I have a profile pic is because pros are required to (which may account for why you see more women with profile pics).

Why would men be requesting a cuddle session with you if you don't cuddle men? And if they did post pictures, how would you know before meeting that it was actually a picture of them?
Anyway, as Moxytocin notes, there are a lot of reasons besides "laziness" to account for this. For example, some men may see themselves as not attractive and not want to put themselves in a position where they believe they are being rejected for their looks. Others may have professional reasons or personal ones (we know, for instance, that there are men and women on here who are cuddling without their partners' knowledge).
Personally, I don't worry about men or women not posting pictures. If that were a deal-breaker for me, I simply wouldn't contact them. Other than that, their choice not to is not hurting me any and why they choose not to is none of my business.

  • I also think it's funny that while condemning laziness you are putting off finishing your profile until tomorrow. That's like farting while giving a lecture on manners.

    Another men bashing thread...

  • Idk why as someone who doesnt cuddle men you would think we would want your advice on what to do with our profiles. Worry about yourself.

4/5 (80%) of the men commenting so far have a profile pic.

  • The person who started this thread appears to be new here, yet has some pretty strong opinions, freely expressed. I'm guilty of that myself at times lol.

What concerns me is that she has also contacted me privately, asking probing questions that feel designed to end in a "gotcha!" type moment. Normally I'm happy to help women navigate this site, but @Merida001, your style makes me wonder what your intentions are here. This post feels a bit contentious, like you're looking for a fight.

As others have pointed out, no one is required to post a photo. And it's odd that you are putting your time and energy into your objections to men not posting profile pictures, when you don't intended to cuddle with men. Why does that bother you so much?

    Doesn't cuddle men.
    Complains about men.
    Got it.

I've had plenty of great respectful cuddles with those don't have a profile picture and/or an empty profile. I'm not quick to judge why someone hasn't written an about me. In fact it's the least of my concerns. Many here have anxiety, are painfully shy, or simply don't know what to write about themselves as they may suffer from low self esteem. We should be here to help heal, not make baseless assumptions.

I respect others desire to remain anonymous on their profile but I do require a RECENT photo before even discussing a session.

  • Most of the men that message me do not have a profile picture. I just assume is for privacy reasons but really isn't my concern. They usually send a picture of themselves in their first message and that is fine with me

I'm a chic without facial pics of myself on here and I'm not lazy. I use to have my pics up, but decided to take them down to limit the amount of bs that I was receiving. So, I will only send them to men that I'm interested in cuddling with. Different strokes for diffrent folks. You have a thread about how you were being judged for being a pagan and yet here you are judging others about profile pics?

  • Laziness is bliss!

There are large numbers of women who do not have a picture. I haven't done the analysis but it's not at all obvious that it's a gendered issue.

I have heard some weak anecdotal evidence that for women, not having a photo reduces the number and/or the grossness of the messages they receive. I'm not absolutely sure if that's really true or not, but I have observed quite a number of women start with photos and then remove them or replace them with non-personal photos. Men tend to receive very few unsolicited messages so this does not apply to them.

It is common for men to message members, both male and female, who do not cuddle men and ask if they would consider an exception. For example it happens to me.

  • The time it took to write out this rant about people , sorry, just men, having blank profiles, the OP could have filled her own out.

  • @Rezz Well in under 5 hours the OP was the victim of being judged on 1 thread, was doing the judging on another thread and oh has a fn spider in a 3rd thread. 🤣

    Really great troll.

Complaining about other people's profiles while having a worthless profile yourself... Pointlessly focusing your complaint on men while describing something that women do just as often as men. Calling this common and perfectly reasonable behavior "lazy" is so inflammatory, really nice.

All while on a brand new account with no karma.

    Just brilliant, seriously.

  • Being open minded and less angry and judgmental goes a long way. I've had dozens of phenomenal sessions with incredible people who didn't have profile pictures. People have lots of different reasons why they may not post one. We never know someone's situation. More curiosity and less hostility serve this community, which is supposed to be about love.

  • @Merida001 ~ Do you have any thoughts on any of the above comments??

  • Happy Easter everyone..

I certainly not agree with the ops assessment about ppl been lazy but at the same time we all the right to express our views.

While we have our reasons for not having a photo, the op may have her reasons based on her experience or assumptions. Instead of been negative may be responses with lil bit of love and consideration would help her understand our view better.

  • I don't really think OP deserves to be piled on for voicing an opinion. I'm sure there isnt a person here who hasn't pissed off somebody with theirs and mob mentality doesnt solve anything . I would just ask the OP to consider the points being posed, as they are all good points . Many people dont want to post pics or detailed profiles from all genders , not just men, and that is perfectly ok and nothing wrong with it. If it were an issue I'm sure site developer would make it mandatory but its not, and for good reason .

I will say that if someone wants to meet up and will not provide a pic nor info about themselves to you individually , then that is a bit sketchy and is a safety issue . And if someone spends their time here ranting that nobody will message or meet up with them yet they have no profile summary nor pic or anything about themselves other than a hey whattup , then yes , you are lazy and will get what you give . Remember to be nice to each other , we are all only interweb strangers after all. That includes you OP. Please feel free to express your opinions,
just realize that having an opinion about something doesnt make you correct At the end of the day we probably have more real world priorities .

  • @pmvines very well laid out…can’t say it any better..hope we can al be more welcoming and nice not only to @Merida001 but to all 😊

If a guy doesn't have a profile picture I will still chat in messages with him if he messages me first. If he doesn't send me a good recent selfie asap to my inbox or tell me something about himself then I'm suspicious.

As a perpetrator of being lazy at times, totally valid to dislike lazy people.
But...It was just an odd way to wrap this post around another generic group bashing (especially since it kinda included yourself). Could have just titled it "Lazy People" or joined in the wonderful grievance thread and posted "Lazy People"

There was also recently a very good thread about profile pictures, and all the reasons why people do or don't post them. Which IIRC, one of the main topics is should this site even need profile pictures. So might want to look at past threads before starting one just assuming and bashing.

Have a wonderful rest of Easter and Tax weekend (or regular weekend that neither of those affect) everyone.
