Just left cat/kitten heaven a couple hours ago - literally! A place where rescued cats & kittens live / receive medical care / & have endless amounts of toys 🧸 to their hearts desire / napping places all around 😴 / visitors with hand full of treats / petting / belly scratches & cuddles 🌌. A place where visitors can apply to adopt any of the cats & kittens on premise 💕 so if you happen to be in nyc or near & you’re considering visiting a cat haven as well as possibly adopting, this is the place for you : )
Ahhhh I love cats and kittens but I’m allergic I can try and visit it for a little bit. Do you have the address?
@Ironman294 because of the allergies I think its best not to go because they are everywhere lol, & before you know it a kitten will come up to you & sit on your lap for scratches & petting … or decide that jumping & stepping on you to than jump on the top border is the best action lol, I don’t know the exact address but I was able to put (Brooklyn Cat Cafe) on Google maps & it came up : )

@peachinthecity you’re gonna love it 🌌 I recommend booking for an hour because 30 minutes go wayyy too quick … also, I realized that the earlier the better because no one hasn’t gone yet, as the day progresses they tire out (although they are always up for some treats lol)
I’m allergic after n hour but I’ll take a Claritin before I go. Would be fun to do a meet-up there if anyone would like to do so.

@dessi i just looked it up! & here I thought that bk cat cafe was the only 1 of its kind 😄 , I actually like the fact that the one in Alexandria actually has a wine / food / eatery side (which is completely separate on premise) … the cat cafe does not
You can go to Petsmart any Saturday and they usually have cats for adoption. They often let you pet them for free.
I'm so jealous!! I've been wanting to cuddle at the cat cafe for a long time! I love that the kitten parties charge as much as I do. As they should! On a side note, I once stayed at the Carlton Arms hotel in Manhattan and there were two cats that lived there that wander into people's rooms if you let them. Could be ideal for people who want cat and human cuddles.
There are two cat cafe's near me in NE Florida. I have visited one of them so far, this has reminded me to visit the other, lol. Had a amazing time last time.
@UKGuy I’ve wondered about this, I hope their incentive isn’t to have a steady client to sell food to, but I’m glad they offer the service & provide shelter & food to cats who otherwise might be in the street, especially now that is freezing cold outside in many parts of the country / world. As long as they’re not into breeding them & activity rescuing & fostering than that would be amazing, I’m going to look into this
@MxSmith you should definitely go, especially if you’re near this area, you won’t regret it, & yes admission / booking is $10 every 30 minutes, for a private kitten party its $100 for an hour , I did an hour yesterday of the regular admission but didn’t realize that to see & play with the kittens you had to do a private party, I just thought that someone happened to have a private party at that time lol … you realize right away that the entire staff really cares about the cats, they are able to be open 7 days a week but only do so 3 days a week , & you see so many different personalities, they are so happy there

This place is so cool, and I’ve walked passed it many times because I have very bad allergies 🙁 The one time I did go, they had a rat caring for a kitten with feline leukemia. The rat snuggled and groomed her like it was another rat. I thought it was so sweet.

@CuddleT93 that’s soo cool that you’re going! 😄 I highly recommend you bring several quarters with you because they have a quarter machine that dispenses treats , & you’ll see the string toys where you can just grab one & play with them, have a blast
Also, I recommend to do the waiver online before you get there so that it doesn’t cut into your time, & get there Atleast 5 minutes earlier because they have to go over some brief rules like, (don’t give treats to cats with yellow collars , & don’t pet cats with red collars, & don’t open the compartment doors to cats that are taking a break) but you’ll still see plenty of cats roaming around & on the cuddle compartments.
