Dream Location?

What is your dream cuddle venue? I personally think a log cabin in a Nordic wilderness would be incredibly atmospheric. It would have to be in the depths of winter with a layer of deep, crispy snow outside. The interior would need to be warm and cosy with a crackling log fire and plenty of blankets and cushions. I think hot chocolate or mulled wine would have to be involved. There would also probably be a husky or malamute dosing in the corner. The soundtrack would be the combination of the fire crackles mixed with the faint sounds of falling snow.

I’ve probably overthought that scenario, but I’m pretty sure that is the place that would induce maximum relaxation for me at least.

    My dream location would be in London! To travel and explore while cuddling people around the world would be a dream! I’m gonna have to make that happen 😊

    Thanks Nature_Lover, it was a bit of a day dream, but with the right AirBnB I think I could get pretty close one day

    Late spring / summer night high up in the mountain ⛰ where the night sky really comes to life 🌌, picnic blanket / or 2 sleeping bags spread out / near a camp fire 🔥

    Someplace with a wide open beautiful view, with no other people around, no biting insects and no pretators, some abundant floofiness to lay upon, a stocked cooler, nowhere to have to get to and no need for either of us to have to break up the moment due to the need of a bathroom.

    dang... I really need to get on finding an RV I can afford...

    @LondonHug Only thing I'd change is the dog to a Norwegian Forest Cat or two. They are said to be the cats that pulled Freya's chariot. Can't go wrong with that.

    @cuddles_ndream sounds good. The sky is on another level if you can find somewhere with minimal light pollution. I’ve only really seen it like that once when I visited Tanzania years ago

    @quixotic_life sounds idyllic, it’s going to take a fair bit of research to find the perfect spot. I’m a fan of the Lost in Transit folks on YouTube, travelling around UK, Ireland, Portugal and Spain in their converted van. Good luck with the RV

    Those both sound phenomenal!

    I would love to cuddle in a waterbed that's sunk down into the floor so it's flush and you can just fall down into a sea of pillows and heated blankets. Surrounded by candlelight, the softest of soft music playing on surround sound, and lots of squishy stuffed animals... After spending a few hours there, I want to slip into a hot tub and nearly doze off for awhile, soaking in the beautiful hot water while murmuring quietly to each other. Then crawl back into bed and melt into the coziness, falling asleep in each others' arms.

    It's funny that I see this today. I have an opportunity to stay with someone in Norway for a week this summer, but I guess the cost of the trip and traveling internationally alone are what make me hesitate. I really want to do it, but not sure if it could actually happen. Cuddling in that natural environment sounds amazing as well, though I think the only one I would be able to cuddle with if I went would be the big fluffy dog. Which doesn't sound all that bad to me lol.

    I would love to be with this person in Norway or Iceland under the northern lights after an evening in hot springs, in a clear dome with comfy bedding 🌙 🌟 Oh, it would be blissful!

    There are so many places I would enjoy cuddling. Really, anywhere in the arms of a great cuddle buddy. This would be someone affectionate, silly, bright (good conversationalist), but also grounding and just curious to embrace and comfort one another...

    @CuddleDuncan well to be honest I've never really traveled far on my own my entire life. It's always been with family. Rarely has it been outside of the United States (only in South America twice, Mexico once or twice, and Canada once). I guess it's just the anxiety of traveling alone in a country where I don't speak the language. I'm also not sure what to expect as far as how the time difference will affect me, as I haven't been to Europe before. I'd hate to get lost once I got out of the airport. It's just something new I suppose. The real big thing keeping me back is the cost. But now I'm starting to feel hopeful I'll be able to go in early August.

    The nature in Norway looks so beautiful and peaceful in pictures.

    Cost is its own thing, obviously .... And Norway is expensive.

    Everybody in Norway speaks excellent English. Buy a practical guidebook like Lonely Planet which will tell you how to get from the airport into town. I don't remember the system for either Bergen or Oslo, which means there is nothing worth remembering. Gain a familiarity with the money and buy travel insurance before you go.

    Time difference is easily dealt with, although it affects some people more than others. The key point is to adopt the new timezone as soon as you get on the plane, and do not deviate from it. I've been to the US for less then 24 hours: going was fine, although it was pretty tough when I got back.

    Anxiety about going to a strange place is a hard-wired human thing, it's very understandable. However, in the case of Norway, you'll be fine.

    Our cuddle party Air BnB could have a trampoline in the backyard for daytime fun and cuddly nighttime star gazing.

    A pool for splashy snuggles (double floating pool beds and several cabanas so there's plenty of room for the partayyyy).

    A game room downstairs in the basement, with board games, pool, etc.

    The second floor could have no bedrooms, just be a huge open floor bursting with bean bags, pillows galore, blankies, and a full-size fridge for mid-snuggle munchies. Surround sound for ambient music.

    Main floor could have tons of couches and loveseats, a massive farm table for our group dinners, and TV's in various corners so people could watch movies, play video games, etc.

    @CuddleDuncan Thanks so much for the advice! I'm hoping to save up enough to make the trip. I also need to go about getting a passport soon. I actually have an opportunity to stay at someone's home for a sort of music retreat for a week. Meals are included in the cost for this retreat so hopefully that won't be too bad. It's out in the countryside and the surrounding area looks amazing.

    @SunsetSnuggles I love the idea of your cuddle party Air BnB! I can see myself participating in all of those activities.

    @SunsetSnuggles I’ll add a outdoor sofa, fire pit and multiple blankets to make the stargazing warm and comfortable as the evening chill kicks in. Plus a dual person hammock for cuddling but mainly for the entertainment factor of watching cuddle partners attempting to get on and off without jettisoning the other person 😀

    I’m going out on a limb but I’m guessing CsnMUS87 plays some mean guitar. So instruments for the musos would be greatly appreciated

    @LondonHug Ooh, brilliant, a variety of guitars, a baby grand, etc. so the musically gifted cuddlers could serenade us to sleep (or awake). Love it!

    Fire pit is perfecccct. Big supply of marshmallows and s'more fixin's. Those little grilled cheese makers that go into the fire...

    @SlothHugs all of these creative responses are generating a whole load of new ideas. How about one of the glass domed snow trains curling through the Canadian rockies or Switzerland. Or how about a Japanese theme in a traditional Japanese home with patterned screens, lanterns and ornate robes

    You also picked out the most important point that I completely missed. It’s the mix of the perfect location stacked up with the ideal partner that would result in the best experience
