Nail Expression: A Sharing Thread 💅🏻

Recently I started the journey of nail care and growing out my nails and have looked for inspiration on Reddit lately. Then it got me thinking. What are our fellow site users doing with their nails lately?

It’s a nail and nail art appreciation thread of your fellow cuddlers. Share these things, compliment these things, talk about your nails and nail art here.

    I tried to paint my nails for my stream, to make it easier to follow my fingers for technique demonstration.

    Turns out that painting my nails led to dermatitis on my first knuckle on each finger.

    Very sad, because my nails looked fabulous in deep green.

    Ohh I love this thread. I lean towards bright colors that will glow under UV lights since I frequent raves or EDM festivals. I'm making my own mushroom and trippy decals for some festivals coming up. 🥰

    I’ve never been into doing anything with my nails. My cuticles are always pretty rough and I’m not into nail polish. Recently I’m really beating them up with all the gardening. I wear gloves most of the time but sometimes I really want/need to use my hands. You really don’t want to see my nails. They are always chewed up and it’s impossible to get them clean, I don’t even try, I just wash my hands very well. :3

    I'm not really into fancy nails but over the years I've used glue-on nails and gotten acrylics to try to stop nailbiting. It wrecks your nails though. So my nails are bare right now. I bought a book on hypnotism and read the section on nailbiting a couple of weeks ago. Haven't bitten my nails since and I picked up a good nail file, cuticle trimmer, and that polish for "maximum growth" to take better care of them. I don't really bite out of anxiety. It's definitely under the umbrella of OCD because for me, I can't stand the feeling of jagged edges or uneven nails when I rub my fingertips.

    I don't paint my fingernails. I just keep them trimmed and filed (I wear gloves at my full time job anyway). 😊

    I have no nail expression to share. I don't enjoy painting nails and I had breast cancer chemo in 2009 and it messed up my nails a little. I can't even buff them cause they are too thin. But I'm not complaining (seriously I'm not). Like Minnie Pearl used to say "I'm so proud to be here"! Lol.

    I've enjoyed this visually satisfying thread. More please?

    @Green_Eyes Thank you! I get tired easily, but I'm Ok. I used to tell some people I was too ornery not to make it. Lol.

    When I used to treat myself to a pedicure at one of the best salons in Nashville my fave color was OPI Cajun Shrimp. It really looked good enough to eat.
