Too poor to cuddle

@Destiny01 comparing cuddling to massage is apples to oranges. It’s not the same thing at all in terms of standardized training, certification, or business model.

@quixotic_life I redid my profile a few months back and have had better success in sorting thru and finding the genuine people.

I have put it on mute temporarily as I have a lot going on in life right now and want a bit of a break without leaving the forums.

  • @Redmantale Finding a cuddle partner pro or enthusiasts is a long game these days. Things in my area have fundamentally changed in the pandemic. I encourage you to hang in there.

My humble contriversal opinion is this. We all have needs to be loved. Too many women on here that have elitist "can't be bothered" with replying. Here's an idea, Women should ask men too. Women should not expect us to entertain them with communication via text because I don't buy into text savy conversations because personalities in person almost never are the same. Voice to voice asap to rule out flaky people indefinitely always "too busy" if IRL you are basic and boring as hell. That and this site does nothing to entice new women to satiate the sausage fest that is this site alongside pretty much all dating/social apps currently make basic communication a pay wall should all burn in Hell lol.

  • Women have no obligation to entertain the whims of entitled men.

  • There are two very distinct classes on this website.
This planet is a capitalist hellscape.

This website pretends to be a method for touch-starved people to find a way to meet their needs, but really its just another extrapolation of the same hierarchical dynamics that exists everywhere else.
Kinda mind boggling that so many seem so surprised about the poor mental health of some of the people on a website advertised towards the touch-starved.
Like, if we werent at or close to rock-bottom, do you think we'd even be here? Honestly?
Many of us are struggling to come to terms with the knowledge that we may very well go the entire rest of our lives never recieving affection again. Which.... kinda cuts deep when youre closer to the beginning of your life. Yknow, when its supposed to be easy. If its like this now, hows it going to be in a couple decades?
Its a terrifying and deeply, deeply depressing reality to try to accept.
Many of you will literally never know what that feels like.
Must be nice to be wanted.
In our shoes, youd probably grow bitter too.

  • @audiodragon: In concept, I really like the idea of everyone on here reaching out and messaging people they find interesting.

In practice, I suspect the folks whose inboxes already receive more messages than they have energy to respond to aren't likely to send fresh messages of their own.

  • Is layaway an option?

  • @FunCartel actually yes. Not through CC, but some pros have payment programs.

  • @samfiddle your profile simply says not interested. Not figuratively. literally you written those words in your description. I know of 2 women who were interested in getting to know more about you and when they went to message you came to find they had been blocked. At the risk of being called a meanie I would like to call attention to my point of , what are you doing to help increase your chances of anything? Is coming on the forums and talking like this helping your case ? Complaining about pros for charging, non pros for not responding, men who find cuddle friends , and literally anything else you can find to complain about the very site that you willfully participate in ? Seems more like self sabotage. It seems like you are purposely being repellant . And I've said it 100 times over, this place is not a mental health site nor are cuddlers mental healrh therapists. In my opinion you need help , and you need it before you ever decide to go onto something like a cuddle site.

Too many women on here that have elitist "can't be bothered" with replying. Here's an idea, Women should ask men too.

Plenty of men think the same thing in the dating world. Wouldn't it be nice if men didn't have to put in all the up front effort? But why would women ever change this (apart from a handful of them)? Men initiate (on this site, on online dating, in approaching in person) because they have to. Women don't have to, so they don't.

Women should not expect us to entertain them with communication via text because I don't buy into text savy conversations because personalities in person almost never are the same.

Well, I'm not sure I'd put it quite the same way, but I do often feel like this. The huge amount of text time some women expect before meeting here and on dating apps is IMO absurd. You learn 10x more about your chemistry and compatibility with someone by speaking to them in person for 5 minutes than you do by texting for 2 weeks.

But I think what that's really about is the same thing as the first point... most men (here, or on a dating app) will be messaging very few women at once -- often only one. So to a man all this texting seems like a ridiculous waste. Why can't we just meet? But women are often messaging many, many, many men at once. So the tradeoffs are pretty different. She can't just say "Alright, I'll meet all 47 of you next week."

@CuddleWho I messaged a woman via dating app for several months without meeting up. We had some fun and interesting chats and supported each other on hard days. Then, we finally did meet up, she rejected me within 5 minutes. So I learned my lesson, communication over text means almost nothing for the purposes of dating. That’s why I try to meet up in persn quickly now - saves everyone time. Not sure how this transfers to CC, but CC and dating do have their parallels as others have pointed them out.

Nevermind..didn't realize this got brought back up by a lame joke.

  • @pmvines All that typing and he is banned. But I think you told him that before so…that horse chose not to drink.

  • @FunCartel some people who are hurt self sabotage as a twisted defense mechanism. I think we should be as supportive of people as we possibly can be but when its to that level I think @pmvines was right in that he needs help outside of what CC can do.

Sorry. This is way of the world the exchange of goods and services in a nutshell it's called, "Business." Yes there sincere people wanting to help others on here.

But the operative word in your statement was, "Poor." As much as some people front like they want a utopia where everybody has access to beautiful people without some form of reciprocity is fooling themselves.

In the words of the late great Kevin Samuels and I'm paraphrasing, Get your money and body right, be respectful, honest, and direct. If you want results you are looking for. Speaking from experience.

@sunnysideup He was not self sabotaging. He was attacking the site, he has attacked pros before and he let his bitterness control how he interacted on the site. Plenty of people tried to reach out to him in a very reasonable manner such as @pmvines @DaringSprinter and others. Some people just hate the world and for being born.

He was a button pusher who just got out of a time out and resumed his attacks on the site under the whoa is me guise. Obviously the mods push buttons of their own.

  • @sunnysideup - I had a woman on match.com snap at me and told me that it was a major red flag that I asked to meet up within the second day of talking. I apologized, but she quit talking to me. That left me scratching my head. We were gonna meet in a public place.

  • I'm sorry to see him go.

  • @Redmantale

    It can take some time

Girls are overwhelmed with messages on here, and it's scary for many to find someone they trust and feel comfortable with

The few I still keep in contact with and meet (not counting pros) it took a lot of back and forth chat before we had a deep enough connection to meet.

Don't be discouraged yet, there are a lot more men than women on here, keep trying

I agree, and I think that everyone here needs more help than any website, even this one, can possibly provide.

Life is never easy, and it has been far less than that the last few years for certain.

I think people keep forgetting that the kind of people who typically make their way to this site are here because they are suffering/struggling in some kind of way, myself included.

It's almost like a shelter of sorts. It doesn't cost anything to be kind. That's why I feel that people whose sole purpose in coming here is to be nasty to others are a special kind of malicious. Like equivalent to showing up to a cancer ward and harassing the patients.

  • the kind of people who typically make their way to this site are here because they are suffering/struggling in some kind of way

That is true of many people but I'm not sure it applies to enough people that it's "typical."

That's why I feel that people whose sole purpose in coming here is to be nasty to others are a special kind of malicious

Indeed. It's always interesting to me which forum members are most eager to mock a man who posts what appears to be a completely understandable question and which is likely coming from a place of loneliness and pain.

  • Lay off the avocado toast and Starbucks

  • @Mike403 You get all sorts on dating apps. No need to apologize. I think match.com encourages longer conversation while the likes of tinder, hinge, and coffee meets bagel encourage quick meet ups. But I’m no expert. I’ve asked people out within the first 5 messages no issue.

  • Nowadays, real men do not exist anymore. The majority of men have a sense of entitlement, they expect women to basically take care of all their freaking needs; sexually, financially, and emotionally. Seriously, we women, are not your mama's and we do not owe you anything. Be a man, have pride that's the problem with society there are only half of a men out there no wonder the world is such a mess. First of all, why should women do favors for men? Men do not do favors for women, if they asked us on a date, they expected us to pay l don't mind paying to have a nice meal in a restaurant on my own however, why should l company a man in a restaurant and paying for my food. Nothing is free in this world, l believe in give and take we shouldn't be using each other for our own good.
