I would like to take this opportunity to wish ALL past, present and future veterans a very Happy Memorial Day. Thanks for everything you do to preserve our freedom.
It's funny, this came up in conversation just yesterday. Now, I'm not chastising you, ok? Most veterans I know (including myself) appreciate the sentiment behind such wishes. But the day for that is Veterans day, also known as Armistice Day - November 11th (World War 1 ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month).
Memorial day is to honor and remember the fallen. The soldier, sailors, Marines & airmen who never made it home.
Enjoy the day. It was paid for by them.
Salute to those who did not come home and to their families.
ps: Not happy the mattress industry has tarnished the day.
@Btown Sofa King is the worst.
