Anyone know the difference in an account being deactivated, vs suspended? I have only seen one occasion where it says an account is suspended.
You deactivate your account yourself, like putting your mail on hold when you're on vacation. An account gets suspended by the site owner when it is suspected that someone has violated a rule. It is up to his discretion to decide if the account will be brought back or the person will be banned.
So it’s sort of like purgatory? The person is waiting for the Admonistrator’s decision?
It’s says temporarily suspended, which would suggest that at some point it WONT be suspended. So it seems like a decision has already been made!
@JUSTIN777 - What you are seeing (when it says that someone's account has been temporarily suspended) is the default message that appears when a profile is taken down (by the Site admins) in order for a determination to be made. Simply seeing the message is not a guarantee of a decision having already been made.
You are technically correct - at some point it will not be suspended. Expect it to either be restored, or terminated, in the near future. Whichever way it goes, it usually does not take long for a decision to be reached once the review has begun.
