How does this work?

Hey friends!
I'm trying to figure this site out - does everyone charge money to cuddle or only "pro cuddlers"?
Is anyone trauma informed in terms of being with women who are survivors of violence by men?
Could really use some healing touch with men that is non sexual.
Thanks!
Monica

  • Welcome!

You can apply to be a Pro, here:

This is an excellent thread you may want to check out:

I would recommend being extremely careful if you have trauma in your past. From what the ladies share, many people try to push boundaries. Best of luck!

@dogmom1980 Welcome to CC. This can be a great place to get your needs met but with most things there are hazards. Take your time and learn as much as you can first. There are a number of threads where experiences and ideas are shared. I suggest you spend some time going through some of them.
    Best wishes.

@dogmom1980 , please do your due diligence regarding with whom you cuddle. The pro cuddlers here are not trained therapists. The level of professionalism varies considerably.

Only members with professional accounts - clearly marked - are permitted to request or accept compensation for cuddling. If anyone who does not have a pro account tries to get you to pay them in any form, please report them. Similarly, if you wish to charge for cuddling, you must first apply for and then be approved for a pro account.

Hello, I am new here as well, but there are cuddle enthusiasts that have no formal training and are just looking for fellow enthusiasts (or pros) to cuddle with, and then there are the pros, who have training and get paid to cuddle (ie the dream job.) The level of experience and certification varies among the pros, so if you go that route it’s definitely something to keep in mind. As for fellow enthusiasts, if you find someone you are comfortable with, then you and them can arrange to meet up. As I have been told, messaging and forum posts are good places to get to know the other members. Good luck, and I really hope you get the safe platonic cuddles you deserve.

  • @Charlie_Bear , not all pros have training. In fact, I suspect those who have training are a distinct minority. And trust me, it is not necessarily a dream job. They put up with a lot of cr@p with clients who push boundaries, don’t show up, etc.

  • Any Tom, Dick, or Harry with a spare $20 per month can apply for a male pro account. Female pros are almost the same except they don't pay a flat monthly rate. They pay a percentage of their earnings.

  • @dogmom1980 I am not but I'm wanting to know about trauma informed training

  • @dogmom1980 Listen to @Babichev when she says "...do your due diligence regarding with whom you cuddle." To expand on that, don't rush things. Chat back and forth for a while. Video chat, or at least talk on the phone. Meet the first time in a public place for lunch, coffee, etc. If the person has friends and/or positive karma, that's probably a good sign. If he has no karma, and only a few friends or none at all, that's not necessarily a bad sign, but be a little more cautious. It may just be that (like me) he's not yet found anybody to cuddle with.

It's probably a good sign if he takes your feelings into account. I asked one woman "Would it be inappropriate for me to tell you what a pretty smile you have?" With another, who, after chatting for several days seemed to be feeling down, I attached a photo of a rose and asked "Would it be inappropriate for me to send you flowers?" In both cases, the deed was already done, but had I not asked, it probably should have given them cause to be concerned. For the record, neither of them objected.

Finally, look for subtle clues. Is he overly friendly? Does he tell you you're beautiful? Does he call you honey or sweetheart, etc.? Does he seem to be hiding something, has no photo posted and won't send you one, or refuses to talk on the phone? Trust your gut. if anything makes you suspicious, walk away.

  • @Babichev 😳 oh, well that is good to know, thank you. The first person I cuddled with (before joining this site or knowing it even existed) was @KeeleyShoup so the bar for a pro has been set super high in my mind.

  • Be prepared for some ppl who are enthusiasts no-showing, ghosting, flaking out, etc. As they have no money to lose, unlike Pros, there is no real disincentive for them to do so.

  • @Charlie_Bear - I’m glad for you that your first experience was with someone who took being professional seriously.
