I agree @Mark about timing.
The OT threads are a minor annoyance at times (I've created 2-4 myself) and it's not like we're being flooded with new threads. Sometimes I'll check in after a few days and see many of the same threads with maybe one more comment.
Glad everyone is on the same page about progress tho.
@chococuddles "it's not like we're being flooded with new threads."
I'll see what I can do.
In searching by distance, 5 miles doesn't bring up enough results, but the next available option of 20 miles, is too far, bringing up way too many results. Is there a chance of getting an option of 10 miles? Jim
When I view the forums on my iPad, the profile pictures are pushed too far to the left (partially off screen) in both portrait and landscape modes.
When viewing a profile of someone in the same city as me, the distance displays as NaN instead of 0.
I apologize in advance if this has been said (cuz I am JOBLESS right now and don't have much time to read through 16 pages of suggestions), but a very common feature that is currently missing from these forums is being able to find my own posts. I'd like to quickly be able to find my posts in the event someone replied to something I said / so it doesn't seem like I'm ignoring anyone... if this feature does exist, then it is NOT obvious (at least not to me), and I've been a member of many different types of forums & message boards.
As for the visitor section, I mostly like it but there is one thing I would consider changing: only list another person's visits ONE time, keeping only the most recent. I probably come off as a total stalker because I'm juggling LOTS of things in my life right now; so if I'm checking out someone's profile while multi-tasking or say if I take a phone call & need to look up other things on my computer (and clear some of my browser windows/tabs) and go back, it might look like I've been stalking some when in reality I never even finished looking at their profile. A happier medium for any given visitor, I would think, is to wipe out any/all previous visits and just list the most recent from any given user... of course, the only potential downside I can see to this is, if a frequent visitor WERE really stalking another person, it would not be as obvious to pick up on if my suggestion were implemented (but could still be detected if a given user ALWAYS / CONTINUALLY appears at the top of your visitors list).
Hi all, just to chip in my opinion... I see Religion coming up a lot... sorry if I am mistaken though first of all I think it's totally optional to fill out that and 'everything else'.
Personally I think one it's optional (lot of people must know that though still select), second it helps us to relate some. There are also those minority followers of so... finding someone with that belief I think just gives us one more thing to relate to. That being said... Not just do you smoke/have pet(s) though I think adding options for would you cuddle someone who smokes/has pets might be good in that regard.
Though I think the about me and some most relevant/(useful) parts such as whether one smokes or not, if they have pet(s) etc. should be a require****me****nt to fill.
One of the reasons being is it's annoying to some of us and it's frustrating running into empty profiles.
While we don't want to make the process hard for new members who just want to browse around or fill out later because they can't now, it's important to have a few musts.
(Sorry I don't know how to bol****d on here).
As for inactivity (interesting word)... some times people could go weeks or couple of months without coming here for various reasons. Although I don't think not finding someone is not much of a good reason I think the more you stay or at least return after a bit the better chance you have and the more of us do that the more active the site will stay. After all we also run the place.
Combating this can be tricky though let me think...
First finding the best way to notify members that after 3 continuous months of inactivity that their profile would be deleted. (Unless they deac****tivate whenever they think they might be away for long... or want to take a break.
Second complicated and perhaps impossible plan: Having their account deleted after 3 full months of inactivity.
I don't know how that would work exactly and perhaps with any idea like so has it's walk around like sign in for a day lookies and gone... Maybe something like... (They would have to have been logged out/inactive for full 3-6 months.
Other improvement... when clicked back redirect us to the previous page we were on like if we were browsing people and done with one profile... clicking back takes us back to the people tab unless we clicked on our friend list...
Happy night!
I think another thing that ruins the website is that people don't obey the rules and solicit for sexual favors in exchange for more money. this hasn't happened to me, but it happens to my friend (who does pro cuddling) ALL THE TIME. I used to want to do pro cuddling but I'm so bothered by these guy's emails and text that I changed my mind. this isn't a prostitution ring.
Sadly you'll get that with any website that has open doors. What does happen are bans, lots of bans.
This sounds a little silly, but I wonder if there's a way to clearly indicate cuddlers who are outside your own country, without having to click on their profile.
The reason this comes up as a question is because I live near Melbourne, Florida. I'm used to it now, but when I first joined (which was quite recent) I never expected that anytime I saw "Melbourne" under the name of someone who had just logged on recently, that it was always going to be for "Melbourne... Australia".
@sleepingsunrise... @mark is right. Men do often ask for "extras" for more money. I had someone (not on CC) willing to pay me $250 an hour, twice a week as an ongoing thing, for "extras". Thanks but no thanks. It happens on every site. I will say that Mark is fantastic about listening to our reports and banning people. He really is concerned with our safety.
Previous private conversations will remain viewable to both parties regardless of block status.
I know the previous talks of blocking were a while back, I just wanted to add that I think that changing this would be a good idea. I feel that if a user has blocked another user, then the blocked person shouldn’t still be able to revisit the conversations.
I can’t remember if I asked this already (sorry) but.. if one deletes messages or a whole conversation.. does it disappear on both ends?
Of the major upcoming features, private album and one-to-one image sharing is at the top of the list. It frustrates me that it hasn't been done yet. It's also been recently delayed due to a dev resource issue. I'm very confident it will be live this year.
I think this is a very good idea and I can’t wait! While I understand why some users want to see who they’re communicating with, I don’t like the idea of posting directly on your profile.
@Mark Two thumbs up!
@C8H7N3O2
It's best to see messages here the same way as email. You both own your own copy.
If you delete a conversation then it only deletes on your side of the inbox, not the recipient's.
I totally get what you mean and understand your concern C8H (I don't know 5p3@k much lol)..., However, what about those who randomly block people or 'unfairly' block. Or start abusing the good side of your method and start blocking people they disrespect? The ones who got disrespected than will have no evidence of this... right? I think that's why it's good to keep both parties to have the messages.
I would LOVE to be able to organize my messages into folders like I do my E-mail. "Current Cuddlers", "Perspective Cuddlers", "Friends", "Philly", "Alexandria", etc. My Inbox is a big jumbled mess!
I find if I am travelling and edit my profile to change the location, the site will often let me pick one location, but then spuriously change the location to something else and I have to clear it and try to pick the right location again.
@OzVisitor. That is sooo annoying! I travel a lot too and I'm always changing my location. It takes an average of 3 attempts to get that field to take my selection.
Hmm, that location drop down is pulling directly from Google Map's API so sometimes you can't have it display the location exactly as you type it. If it is actually giving an outright wrong location then that is a problem. Is there possibly an example you can give me so I can try and reproduce it?
Feature update
@mark. It happens every time. Try putting in Bel Air, MD
I got it to accept it on second try this time, which is a rarity.
Every time I enter that, Google is choosing to display it as 'Bel Air, MD 21014, USA' which seems correct to me. Are you saying that is wrong or are you getting a different result?
Thanks for the example btw. Will definitely investigate this.
I just tried to change my location to Alexandria,VA. After a few letters I got the drop down menu of places. From that menu, I select Alexandria, VA. My first 2 attempt gave me this
Ah ok. That is definitely very wrong. Thanks, will investigate fully.
Thanks Mark
@Scarlette and @ Mark. Here is how I have experienced that problem, and how I discovered a half fix. If I input my location as "Sudbury MA," I get the drop down menu after typing just a few letters. Say, S-u-d-b-u. If I then click on Sudbury Ma from the drop down menu, the system initially takes it, then replaces my choice with Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Happens every time. I have to type as far as the letter M -- "s-u-d-b-u-r-y-M" before my selection of Sudbury MA will "stick." Eventually, I decided to "move" to nearby Acton, MA, because the system accepts that location with fewer keystrokes. ;-)
Thank you
@Mark What exactly is the “logout & forget” option and what does it do?
I know what the deactivate account does and I know about the delete account option.
Thanks.
It's literally just the logout button but named differently.
Ok thanks. I thought it was something in between the other two.
@OzVisitor @Scarlette @quietman775
Location issue is now fixed. Thanks for helping!
And in an unrelated fix, Friends are no longer capped at 50.
