Any musicians out there who also love to cuddle?
I sing in English, Urdu, Spanish and I've messed around with Mongolian throat singing.
I also play acoustic guitar and am pretty comfortable with a banjo.
The banjo is a lovely instrument and gets a bad rep. The way I play it, it sounds like a sitar and has deep, emotional and resonant tones.
Are we starting a CC band?
I have a keyboard that I play kinda sorta.
I love cuddling, I play guitar, sing (and am taking bel canto lessons to improve), used to play trumpet a long time ago, learned a little piano and bass for a short time as well.
Regarding banjo: there’s a really nice section in this interview with Rhiannon Giddens where she is playing the banjo in a manner seldom heard with a beautiful, deep sound.

And, of course, there is Bela Flek who plays classical music on banjo.
I used to play simple rhythm guitar accompaniment to old time fiddling but gave it up.
@Babichev Thanks for that post. Rhianna Giddens has been a favorite of mine since I discovered the Carolina Chocolate Drops a number of years ago. Got to see her as a solo act two years ago. She is an amazing talent. Love Bela Fleck and his wife Abigail when they perform together. Thanks for the reminder of these talents.
I play the drums and love cuddling! Although not at the same time, that would prove difficult! Haha
I’m a singer and I love playing drums. 🌸🌸
I sang (before Covid) and used to play the harp (before I had to sell mine for money reasons).
Being as I come from a pretty musical family, I've also messed around with guitars, violins, and various sorts of piano. I miss my voice the most. Hopefully it'll come back all the way one of these days.
I play violin
I played piano when I was younger, but it didn't come super natural to me.
I sing. When I'm alone. Dogs have been known to howl as a result.
~ Sunset Snuggles
@SunsetSnuggles Have you grown to howl with them?
I play piano.
I sing— I have done so professionally many times, though nowadays it's in the shower or while I'm vacuuming. I also enjoy percussion— I played tenor drum in a marching band as a kid, and I still drum out beats with my fingers, feet, hands, etc. all the time. Oh, and I took up accordion for a while as a little kid, violin for a year when I was 11, and took a piano class when I was in my late 30s.
One of my first experiences as a budding musician was when I figured out by ear how to play "Born Free" on my multicolored xylophone at the age of 4.
@Btown Yowl, maybe. 😅
I play electric bass, strictly by ear as I've never learned to read braille music.
@hifigeorge Great to see you back on the forum.
I love to play drums and percussion. I enjoy doing local musicals because they give me the opportunity to play instruments I don't get to play regularly like the timpani or marimba. I have done about 40 school and community musicals. And i usually get to buy a new small percussive instrument or two every time.
