I do Grubhub on the weekends as a side hustle to make some extra cash. The notes the customer puts in the app when ordering are normally meant for drivers as instructions on where/how to deliver it. In this case, the restaurant saw it and called the police. I can't imagine what I would think if I read that in the notes.

    An hour and twenty minutes passed from the time of the order and the police arriving. They didn't have much time to waste, and it was complicated by the incoherency of the message. It's lucky that they interpreted it as a possibly bonafide call for help. I could imagine my autocorrect acting insolently just when I'm nervously trying to type out a message surreptitiously, and trying to be cool. Thank God the kidnapper was an idiot too.

    @UCpaaHVg6u0 - Apparently he let her use her phone only to order food and she may have used predictive text to make it less obvious what she was doing.
