Also, as per Dr Fauci himself , and many organizations (including my job) we must still wear masks because being vaccinated does not eliminate the risk of spreading covid, if you have it in your nasal farrings you can still spread it, so I’m not really sure where you’re getting your information that being vaccinated prevents a person from spreading it (I genuinely want to know).
@cuddles_ndream: If you read the studies I linked to in my earlier comment, you'll find that vaccines are proven to reduce your odds of carrying the virus, reduce the amount of time it's in your system if you do catch it, and therefore make you safer for others to be around.
It doesn't keep you 100% safe from Covid, just as a seatbelt doesn't keep you 100% safe from dying in a car crash.
The vaccine improves your odds of health—and, unlike a seatbelt, it improves the odds of health for everyone around you, too. Especially if, for whatever reason, they can't take the vaccine themselves.
I don't think @ubergigglefritz intended to encourage this kind of science denial, but... look.
This is what happens.
Yeah I get it, sorta like not smoking improves your odds of health / & not smoking doesn’t necessarily mean you’re immune from lung cancer … & not eating fried chicken or Doritos & sticking to Whole Foods improves your odds of health …. Now why was congress & athletes in my city (for starters) not mandated? Why is it that me and millions others threatened with our livelihoods & they weren’t?
@cuddles_ndream, I really can't tell you why some humans are selfish, stupid bastards. Look, perhaps, within.
