Right, now it's cool that everyone meets and gets the comfort they need and what not. I'm like day and a half new, but I haven't seen it brought up or maybe we just thinking too strongly. But is there conversations about what the temperature is going to be or what? Specifically if you're meeting inside somewhere. I just thought I'd bring it up, cause. You see what I look like in my profile. I am not built for the cold, lol. Unless you want to cuddle ice, lol

    I have not found this to be a problem. When I host another cuddler I ask them if they are comfortable and if I’m a guest, I’m not shy about speaking up if I’m too hot or too cold, though that’s never been an issue.

    I would like to cuddle ice right now. Lol. Sometimes I think to mention my house is cool but it hasn't mattered whether temp was discussed beforehand or not.

    I set the temperature at 60 in my cuddle room. I like to cuddle under the sheets.

    I have put a lot of thought into my cuddle space temperature. Bristol R.I. gets really humid and I don't prefer sticky cuddling, but I do like blankets. So my ridiculous routine to meet everyone's needs is I have AC at 65 and the ceiling fan on, and a soft warm blanket.

    I don't think many people would prefer cuddling in a hot/humid setting too much unless they do prefer feeling like human stew (idk and i don't judge) I think cooler/colder setting is where its at. Warm fuzzy blankets are my thing, so if the room is a bit cold then its just another reason to break out the fuzzy blankets 😂

    I like cuddling under warm blankets. I like a cool room, like 68 Fahrenheit or even less.

    It’s good for it to be a little cool, just because the sharing of body heat means you don’t want it to be too warm.

    I prefer to keep the house at 67 degrees, all the time. And yes, I cuddle ice. 😁

    I imagine my optimal cuddle temp with bedding would be about 15 or maybe less.

    On topic, if you wish to discuss temperature just bring it up. Communication is good for all the things so don't be afraid to use it.

    My place is set at 70...but I also have plenty of blankets laying around. I dont think I've ever had a complaint but id always be willing to accommodate!

    This thread makes me laugh, you guys are all so rich .....

    I was brought up in a largely unheated house. Other than the kitchen, where the temperature was always above freezing, the temperature in the room was .... much the same as it was outside. Perhaps a degree or two warmer in the winter, or cooler in the summer.

    I don't keep my house at societally normal levels, lol. Guest rooms and the sunroom have mini splits so people can set them to whatever they wish. 😇

    @CuddleDuncan I remember waking up with numb toes because my dad let the house drop so low in the winter, to save money. We didn't have air conditioning, we had windows. 😛 (Though my English friends have told me it's rare there, due to the climate, but here, it's miserable without it.)

    @SunsetSnuggles yes A/C is almost unknown in private houses in the UK. (I go to the houses of the top 0.01% and even they don't have it.) It's nice to have on about six days a year, but you just don't need it.

    It's perfectly common in various types of commerical building. And cars, quite common in cars now, since they are basically self-propelled ovens.

    @SunsetSnuggles yes they are lovely for the first, ooh, thousand days or so, then the novelty begins to wear off. Sometimes you genuinely start to forget that there is a blue thing above that grey/white layer of misery.

    I have been in New Orleans for the past couple of days and it has been hot and humid, I love it and have been outside most of the time and you adapt. The relatives I have down here use the AC on rare occasions but generally use fans and open windows. But you can tell the northerners from Wisonsin, Minnesota, Montana, etc—they are flocking into the stores with AC and they drink in the bars with closed doors and AC. Anyone who has ever been down here knows the doors on most of the bars are kept open even during the heat of the day.

    Takeaway—it’s whatever you are used to.

    @CuddleDuncan It's true, I've not had the opportunity to live long-term in an overcast location. Hopefully in two years, we'll be in Washington! I'll get back with you a few years after that. 😂

    Once upon a time there was 125°F summers in Phoenix and ~60°F degrees inside (because of AC). Socks, because my feet get cold, a sheet AND a blanket on top of us made the perfect cocoon of heat with my cuddle buddy.
