Will you help me? Are you a figurative artist/drawer?

edited June 2022 in General

I have an idea for a cartoon. By cartoon I mean a one pane black and white line drawing of the type that appears in the New Yorker magazine. (Actually, now you come to mention it, I mIght send it to them.) I've tried the idea on a couple of people and they liked it.

The trouble is, I don't know how to draw, so I need somebody to draw it for me. Will you help? I can describe it precisely. It's basically just four guys sitting round a table. It just popped into head put of nowhere and I thought it was funny. I'd like to see it made real.

Drop me a PM if you're interested. 50-50 split if it makes a million dollars.... don't spend the money yet.

Thank you!

  • You might want to contact the art department of a local community college and see if someone there can help you out.

  • That's a good idea @Babichev, thank you.

  • I can help you 😊

  • If you can find examples or references that are close in style. Maybe finding existing characters, that should help the artist that takes on the project. I know it I were to take on something like this, I’d need examples.

  • @CuddleDuncan I would recommend that you take the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) approach.

Also, start with something terrible and iterate!

Find a drawing of people sitting around a table. Put it in paint. Remove stuff. Add some text. Make the text fancy in Word.
