No active users in my town

edited December 2017 in General

There doesn't seem to be anyone from my town or even my county who actually uses this site regularly. I don't know how to get more, and I don't have a lot of online contacts who can help spread the word. Does anyone have any idea how to find a cuddle buddy actually near me?

@DavidMS703 You may have done this already, but if you include people without a photo, there seem to be 6 women from Ithaca and 2 from Cortland ... even though some weren't online recently, they should still get email notifications.

I can't see any professionals within 50 miles, but there are some within 80.

Alternately, there are other websites with professional cuddlers. This person seems to be in Ithaca:

    https://www.facebook.com/sarah.enlightenedcuddles

And http://thesnugglebuddies.com seems to have some within an hour or so from the look of it (e.g. in Port Crane).

May you have success in your quest for cuddles!

Edit: I'm not sure how you feel about cuddling with a professional. I was hesitant at first, but I'm more than sold on it now after finding someone I click really well with.

  • I messaged them already and didn't get answers. And I don't have enough money to spend the amount of it that seeing a pro would cost on that so I would really like to figure out how to find someone who just wants to cuddle for the reasons I want it and doesn't charge money if that's possible.

@DavidMS703 If you're not finding people on here to cuddle with, you'll need to explore other avenues. Try putting up a profile on a few free dating sites and make it very clear you're looking for a cuddle buddy and not a date. You'll also need to make it clear that you want to keep it platonic. The profile that you have on here should work. You could also run ads on Craigslist in the Platonic Only section of the personals ads.

@DavidMS703 @Blueiris I’ve had a modicum of success on Craigslist. The only caveat I offer is not to specify a gender if you seek females and say so, your inbox will likely be jammed with robotic spam.

PLEASE stay away from Craigslist! That site draws people with the same behavioral patterns it's ridiculous. People think that any form of affection means sex. The online dating option is no good either, as people take things the wrong way and are going to judge you solely by the way that you look (the problem with any online platforms unfortunately). I am not sure what alternatives there are pass these suggestions, because I am depleted for other options.

  • I actually found my personal cuddler on Craigslist. I placed an ad with EXACTLY what I was looking for in my cuddler. Although, I cuddle frequently I was looking for someone that is just there for me. I got a ton of responses. I narrowed it down essentially by conducting interviews. I got it down to one and did kind of a cuddle interview. He was perfect. It's s wonderful cuddle relationship. I also get a ton of clients from CL. Once you weed through the weirdos you can find some genuine people. Some of my favorite clients are from CL.

  • I have actually met a couple of people whom I've cuddled with through Craiglist but there is work involved and it can be consuming so I still peruse the platonic section but only try to make contact if I have the energy.

I’ve met a couple cuddle buddies through Craigslist, and none here. But I have to say the two I met through CL were not as dedicated to the idea of keeping things platonic.
