Oreo cookies might cure everything

I believe that there are certain defining characteristics that can separate people. Those characteristics will till you everything important about a person. It dawned on my that eating Oreos may be the key.

Think about it. There are 4 types. The ones that just bite them, no consideration. Just chomp on the cookie sandwich.
Then there’s the type that separates the 2 cookies. We all know that an overwhelming majority of the filling will end up on either side.
Whether it’s a small piece, just residue or half of the cream. But the identifier is the cookie you eat first. The one with the cream or the one without? The order in which you eat them says a lot!
But i can’t forget the ones i consider freaks! I say freaks because i think it’s the oddest trait. The ones that lick the cream from both cookies first….that’s weird.
I’m going to investigate further but I’m sure these are going to be the definitions that can predict the behaviors of the future. In process

  • What does it say about me if i do all of the above depending on what i want out of the cookie.

  • I don’t eat Oreos. I’m a Hydrox fan. Oreo was a knockoff, Hydrox was the original. (And I haven’t had one in over 50 years.)

I personally think Korean Bbq and bubble tea does a hard system reboot for me. I do love Oreos too, but its the above and gummies that will do it for me.

  • My dad does not like Oreos. He says they burn his tongue. And this is a man who has been known to eat spicy food and complain it's not hot enough. It makes zero sense to anyone because of course Oreos are not hot or spicy at all.

So what does it say about someone who can eat this

and not break a sweat but this

is some how too hot for him?

  • @CuddleForDID: Huh. Sounds like a food allergy. Reminds me of the spicy bananas.

  • @KariMeiSnuggles im not sure what that says….. but I’ll get to the bottom of it
@Babichev i don’t think is about what brand of sandwich cookie, it’s how you consume the sandwich cookie. I came to the revelation while eating a maple syrup flavored sandwich cookie - Kroger brand.

  • And i didn’t even consider the people who dunk and those that don’t. Personally dunking any of these sandwiches as a waste of time and messy for no reason. The cookie doesn’t get a good amount of moist and then you drip. I’m not against the dunking of chocolate chip but that’s another story.

  • Oooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh Chocolate chip cookies in milk....... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm then you might get into those that like them crispy or gooey!!! Nuts? No nuts?

@BashfulLoner I feel as though you are completely missing a large majority of the population that you are reasearching.

    What about the Double Stuffers??

And the flavored cream sorts of humans.

You mister bashful are missing an extremely important group in society.

BUT I DEFINITELY THINK YOU ARE ONTO SOMETHING!!

Oreos are my guilty pleasure. As a matter of fact, I make an Oreo dessert whenever we have company over for a holiday. Here’s how to make it in case you’re interested.

    Ingredients:
-1 container of vanilla ice cream
    -1/2 cup peanut butter
    -8 oz container Cool Whip
    -1 package Oreo cookies

    Instructions:
    1. Crush Oreos in a food processor or blender.
    2. In a large mixing bowl, add vanilla ice cream and Cool Whip. Mix until well combined.
    3. Once the ice cream and Cool Whip are mixed well, add the peanut butter and mix it in.
    4. In a 9x13 baking pan, add a layer of crushed Oreos to the bottom of the pan. Then add the ice cream mixture on top; spread it evenly.
    5. Add the remaining crushed Oreos on top of the ice cream mixture.
    6. Freeze until ready to serve.

In case you or someone else has a peanut allergy, use hot fudge or Hershey’s chocolate syrup instead of peanut butter.

    Enjoy :)

  • @sillysassy you are correct, as i am not a frequent desert eater i completely forgot about the varieties of Oreos. I might have to rethink my interest in this as it would require me to taste to many sweets.

There is something pathological about an Oreo routine and style of cookie. I’m afraid this my reveal to me the secrets of mankind and i might not be prepared. Like what would i do if i discovered my mother was an Oreo dunker 😱. My kids might be double stiff eaters….. how could i go on knowing these things. It’s too much to bear…….

  • @BashfulLoner hahahaha so true. Some things are better left to the unknown.

You left out my type. I split the cookie in two, but regardless of which half has the majority of the stuff, I always eat the one n my right hand first.

You forgot about those who don't bite them, but eat them whole. If I don't eat them that way, then I drop them into a tiny ramekin filled with almond milk, and then eat it with a fork...no milky fingers, cookie fully saturated.

  • Oh my goodness @SunsetSnuggles you have blown my mind….. if there is spectrum of Oreo eaters this has got to be on the end of the spectrum! As i look up the word ramekin…… this is more extreme than eating a snicker with a knife and fork.

  • @BashfulLoner As someone who doesn't drink milk, filling a whole cup would be a waste. 😄

  • Double stuff are not enough. I split open two double stuffs and make a quadruple stuff.

  • Oreos cure orangutans of life too.

  • If I am eating them without milk, I split them in two, carefully ensuring all the filling is on one side. I don’t lick the cream, but I scrape it off with my teeth. Then I eat the two cookies.

If I am eating then with milk, I use a fork and slide the cookie cream into it so I can dip the cookie in milk. I’ll let it sit there until it starts to get soggy, and then I eat it off the fork.

  • I can’t remember the last time I ate a store bought sandwich cookie. As a kid, though, I definitely twisted them apart and licked the icing off before eating the cookie. I had a macaron for the first time a few months ago. I bit into the whole thing. It never occurred to me to twist it apart and eat the filling first.

  • Who needs Oreos when you’ve got flatbread pizza?

  • @BashfulLoner I did not expect this thread to be interesting. Glad I was wrong :) I eat Oreos the uninspired way; just bite into them and eat them. I don't dunk anything; it doesn't improve it for me and it makes a mess. The stuff in the middle is just OK. But the Oreo Thins are all wrong. I don't think they are the same cookie.

Their is a chocolate cream version and a dark chocolate cream version. The dark chocolate ones are divine. Mostly I try not to think about Oreos. They are not part of my plan to continue fitting into my current clothes. Lol.

  • I’ve never understood dunking. What’s the attraction?

  • [Deleted User]DeadGirlWalking (deleted user)

I use my teeth to scrape off all the filling, then give the cookie part to my housemate.

  • @Babichev Dunking juices up an otherwise dusty, pretty crummy "cookie". I was never a fan of Oreos until I became vegan and they were one of the easily accessible sweets I could still have.

Still not a big fan, but when I have them, it's Double Stuf or Hazelnut.

  • Well its been a long time since I had an Oreo cookie but when I was a kid during my process food eating days lol, I would separate 4 cookies then fold out four squares of yellow cheese and put it between the cookies then eat it. It was soooooo good to me, wierd but good😊😋

  • I love that YouTube video!!!

  • @EarthaR Congrats on being able to leave processed foods alone :) Cheese and chocolate together are odd to me and a lot of people, but I've seen a recipe for chocolate and cheese fudge. Cheese does marry well with a lot of things, including things that might seem odd til you try them. Cocoa is similar. Putting a little cocoa in chili is good.

  • @SunsetSnuggles Ever tried the ones from Whole Foods made w cane sugar? I was addicted to them for a few years - used to empty them boxes like I did w Girls Scouts Cookies (Samoas - [# samoas] ).
